You must be a stupid fuck if you need elaboration on why that is. Get back to your red repping, it is all you contribute around here anyway.

The key word here is should. If the Republicans had any shame or morals at all he would have been convicted and removed from office at his impeachment. He can be prosecuted after leaving office, and I hope he is. The rule of law is under serious attack in this country and prosecuting the biggest criminal in the nation would do a lot to help restore it.

For the prosecutors to even ask for a delay in producing the book until after the election as part of the deal is corrupt. The judge said in 21 years on the bench he had never seen anything like it. What possible criminal justice-related purpose does that serve? If Trump asked them to do it it's a crime and yet another impeachable offense.

Trump keeps talking about how well he did on his cognitive test. He must have paid someone else to take that one too.

I agree. There was no legitimate purpose in it and it should not be allowed. But that has nothing to do with Cohen violating the terms of his release. I am confident that if he weren't writing that book you would agree that he should be put back in jail for the violation. Your politics are showing through here Walt. The federal penal system on this is harsh uniformly -- well, apparently not for Cohen.
[QUOTE=Tellafriend;914117]To clarify, I'm not opposed to putting him back in if he violated the terms of his release. But that line about the book that they tried to put in there tainted the whole thing. If they hadn't put it in there he'd probably be sitting in jail right now.
There are other times when a tainted process lets someone off the hook. Like when evidence is excluded because it was obtained in an illegal search. The purpose is to incentivize the prosecution to act properly.
Also, wasn't he in a minimum security camp, not a pound me in the ass prison?

Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats’ assertion that President Trump is a fascist. But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.
