Well, the problem I see it is intelligence agencies playing partisan politics to investigate candidates, even through legal means, is problematic. It seems ok to you now, because the intelligence agencies are on your side and Trump is clearly a crook. But there is no guarantee intelligence agencies will continue to be on your side. In fact, it seems like a good bet they won't.
I doubt you think intelligence agencies publicly investigating Biden and leaking any results of wrongdoing would be a good idea. They may have to dig a little deeper, but there is probably plenty of skeletons in that closet too. Except for rare cases like Bernie I think anyone who is in politics that long is gonna have dirt.
And a precedent of intelligence agencies and Congress digging into candidates and making public spectacle of it seems like a horrible one to have.

1) Re-open the economy with over 1.5 million infected Americans, pandemic grows, U.S. goes bankrupt.
2) Keep lockdown going, 40 to 50 million unemployed, U.S. goes bankrupt.
Under both scenarios Trump loses the Presidency.
You're forgetting door #3, a phased, step by step reopening done according to the advice of the experts. At each step we evaluate and see how things are going, and we put guidelines in place to reduce the chances of transmission, like masks social distancing and whatever else.Donald Trump has only two options.
