In this course of human history we have never seen such common discussion of one of the two candidates dropping out. The possibility doesn't sound outrageous anymore. Distance yourself from this particular election and it sounds crazy.

I closed the video thinking the timing for his quitting has passed. It was one thing if he surprised us. Now it just looks like a standard play and the added value and originality is lost.

Wait a second. So, trump is cancelling campaign appearances but he's still going forward with his fund raising events? But didn't I just see trump's surrogates (e.g., Sen. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump cancelled scheduled campaign events in Colorado, Nevada and Oregon in a week that was originally billed by the campaign as focusing on immigration.

While Trump will attend a private fundraiser in Aspen, Co. he will not make a speech on immigration that was scheduled in Denver on Thursday, according to the Denver Post.

The Trump campaign also said it had cancelled a planned rally in Las Vegas on Friday, according to local ABC affiliate KTNV. No reason was given for the Nevada cancellation, but a planned Lake Tahoe fundraiser will continue as planned.


Another planned rally and fundraiser in Portland, Ore., scheduled for Aug. 31, was cancelled, according to local CBS affiliate KOIN. Trump’s Oregon campaign director, Jacob G. Daniels, cited Trump’s visit to Baton Rouge, La., which has been ravaged by heavy flooding, as the reason for the cancellation.

Trump’s new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN on Thursday that these events would be part of “immigration week,” where the billionaire would hone in on his message via policy speeches.

The GOP is struggling with Hispanic voters as Trump continues to make anti-immigrant comments on the campaign trail.

I think it might be related to his immigration policy flip flop. He could have been planning on doing a tour of Latino-heavy states promoting his new policy of not deporting all illegal immigrants. Then someone informed him that it may well gain him 10,000 votes from the center and lose him a million votes from the right. Politics isn't just making people like you more than the other guy, it's motivating them to get their asses to the polls.

But still that makes little sense to cancel the events when he could have just left that part out of his speech.

Thing is, the second Trump started getting donors he literally raised his own rent in Trump Towers and used the donor money to pay for it.

So the last thing on earth I expect him to do is cancel fundraisers.
