apparently the plane had 63 canadians on board. iran is about to feel the full wrath of the canadian military.

whats funny is that iran has rolled back their assertion it was a mechanical failure and started to admit it was accidentally targeted by anti aircraft missiles, but the OSINT nerds are pouring over the available footage of the crash / crash site and see no real evidence of this.

It’s important they get out ahead of this and say it was a mistake.
Firing 15 missles and having 4 of them fail in addition to having an anti aircraft batter take down one of their own by mistake isn’t exactly inspiring.

i'm pretty surprised at how this played out. if the missiles on an abandoned warehouse were the extent of the iranian retaliation, this ended about as well as we could have hoped for.
you can be absolutely sure that iran has no intention of forgetting the murder of their literal national superhero.
from now on its a proxy war; whatever they can get away with without direct attribution, any soft targets etc, its an automatic green light.
