Russia couldn't be happier about this. With the nuclear deal in place, moderates in Iran were able to point to the benefits of international cooperation. The hard-line clerics' message has always been "cooperation with America will destroy us." Trump just did the hard-liners a huge favor in terms of their ability to maintain popular support.

Interesting to me they fly out of a civilian airport. Two times I deployed we flew straight out of McCord AFB, refueled in the air and landed in Iraq 24 hours later. Coming back we would use civilian airports.
