hannity, graham, levin and the usual cast of characters heard trump ask a foreign leader for help digging up dirt on a political rival and not only did they say that wasn't impeachable, they spun it as a positive. we're living in an alternate universe where our least educated have way too much influence over the rest of us.
trump's base would still kill for him. i've never seen anything like this.
when word comes out that trump actually held up military aid to ukraine cause of the biden stuff, we'll start to see GOP senators in purple states turn, but never from the south and midwest
my guess is she held off cause she thought the russia collusion thing just wasn't strong enough. obv i hate trump and think he obstructed justice, but even i wasn't for impeachment. i think the dems would have paid a political price if they went forward with impeachment over that.
what trump did with the ukraine is just as bad or even worse than what he was accused of doing with russia.

You'd have to think the transcript that was released is a watered down account.
Pre-emptive strike. Make it look like it wasn't a really big deal as most folks will form an opinion before all the facts are available. People are reluctant to change their opinions even when half - baked.
Also, he can now attack Biden relentlessly so people will think he was simply doing his duty.
That's my take on why.
