After reading it, there are two extremely important take-aways from the release of the transcript:
1) It is very likely that Trump is functionally illiterate, there is no way anyone who can read would fail to see that his conduct would be considered impeachable even without the clearly demonstrated quid pro quo.
2) Trump has essentially isolated himself among people who are so totally in the dark about executive law that no one spoke up about how the contents of the report could be problematic for him.

1) there is zero chance trump gets thrown out of office for this. his base would turn on any republican senator that voted for it. i think dish, devidee and druff perfectly capture what his base thinks right now.
2) that aside, the idea that you need a quid pro quo before it being impeachable is a joke. like i said before, asking a foreign government to investigate your chief political rival is horrible in and of itself.
3) also lol at no quid pro quo. the US is the only country that provides ukraine military aid. ukraine can't exactly say no to trump's request and the ukraine prime minister told trump they'll get a new prosecutor to look at the biden stuff. shocking result.
