I’m a nocturnal person. I’m out at 3Am and stopping to grab a coffee or whatever at some convenience store five nights a week. My area isn’t even Hispanic. But then you’re out somewhere, and it’s 3Am, and you walk into a store, and 4 dudes from Nicaragua walk in with face tattoos with their body count, and you’re thinking where the fuck is my gun because these motherfuckers here are no joke. Idk why they’re here, but they aren’t cleaning out stables or picking vegetables. So like I’m on the left, yet that speech is genius. I’ve dealt with this my whole life when it’s some black kids, and we created that problem, and we all deal with that problem and generally know how to avoid it and most Americans know there isn’t any solution to that, they’re Americans, but importing another problem? I was listening to Headline News afterwards on Sirius, and they had some immigration attorney trying to weakly deny that they tell these asylum-seekers what to say, as Trump alleged.

"We can't tell these people to lie, or we could get disbarred", said the attorney.

Nice way to dance around the accusation.

She never addressed whether they tell these people what to say, only that they don't tell them to lie.

The problem is that "lie" is subjective.

The attorney can ask the asylum seeker, "Are you fearful for your safety?", and if the seeker says no, they can rephrase the question as, "If you spoke up about your living conditions being bad in your home country, and did so loudly enough to get noticed, would you be fearful for your life?", and if the answer at that point is yes, then they're told to state that they're fearful for their safety because they can't speak up about their living conditions.

Shit like that.

This is the type of area where Trump really thrives. He finds a situation which his base AND the swing voters can relate to, says something politically incorrect which validates the thoughts/fears of these voters, and then the Democrats take the bait and jump on the outrage train. This makes the Democrats appear to be out of touch, and the swing voter says, "Well, Trump totally gets this and the Democrats are too busy acting outraged about the truth, so I'm voting for Trump."

This type of thing made Trump surprisingly formidable in the 2016 election, despite all of his flaws.

Simply blaming his win on Hillary is missing the point.

There's a reason Trump crushed the group of Republicans in the primary, and there's a reason he carried various blue-collar states which Republicans had almost written off.

If Democrats are going to keep going with, "Illegal immigration isn't a problem" and "Illegal immigrants commit crime at a rate no higher than the average American citizen", they're going to lose that debate every time.
