(this is also something that every poster here is also skeptical of). we have zero reason to think she has been compromised by the russians, as compared to trump. she won't win the democratric nomination, but she brings an interesting (needed) perspective. When she's eliminated, it won't be like she's a jill stein type spoiler. She's not going to run as a third party candidate

i feel like there is a blurred line here between 'russia is pushing for someone they have dirt on' and 'russia has compromised her and she is their joe' or something.
my point is that russia doesnt make moves without calculating equity 10 moves deep. non-interventionism in venezuela would certainly capture russia's interest. the syria show however is stuck in pre-production pending another breakup of whatever glue is holding together New Russia. if you want to go full fps on it, it's not exactly a stretch to say thats why we left the embers of isis smoldering there, but thats another conversation.
more likely to me, on reflection, is that russia stuck its dick in the nuclear arms race bear trap, which bankrupted it once and has the potential to easily do so again. so they are going to look for someone whose going to give them an non-humiliating way to come back to the negotiating table.
