Unrelated. I went fishing 2 weeks ago was freezing my hands off even wearing fucking ski gloves. Caught 2 small blackfish and 0 striped bass. My friend has spent close to 300 bucks for all sorts of lures weights hooks in the past 2 months and nothing. Water not cold enough I guess? I swear the only fish I catch are porgies and I would rather play poker with thespartard than eat porgies. I rather use the 50 bucks I spend on the boat on some crab cakes.

Party boats in winter are pure uncut misery. And I honestly suspect striped bass have evolved to learn to avoid them. If you insist on going that route I suggest you pick up a couple of those Zippo pocket warmer things like just for starters but I'm just not about that life personally. Maybe if it was a tuna trip or something tho...

During his campaign rallies Trump attracted more live tv cameras than any other candidate on a similar day.
Trump knew just how to keep that red “on air” light lit. Like a rock star he played to the audience and the red light. His act was ad-lib but he played off the crowd.

What fascinates me is the potential for candidates to tailor individual (1:1) messages using Facebook-like tools & personal data. You can’t legislate that shit away either. Not really.
That will require AI. It will be too overwhelming a task for humans to sift and message in that fashion. Even the legions of cheap Macedonian teenagers with keyboards won’t turn the trick.
I think AI is going to progress more rapidly than anyone is prepared for. No place like social media to release the bots. AI may be ready by next election to do the interpretation and logarithms necessary in nanoseconds and take targeted campaigning to really interesting places.
On a side note, you know what would be an epic acquisition for Facebook? 23andme. 23andme already suggests people you might be related to. Imagine the facility to reach out via Facebook to those folks. Guys like Druff would eat that up. Charge a small fee for that service. I’m not gonna do all the work here.
Druff could reach out to people with similarly damaged chromosomes that might also be Dodgers fans.
