If you think there's no difference between the two parties you are very mistaken. There is a huge difference especially for everyone who isn't wealthy and white. The Democrats leave a lot to be desired but this "it doesn't matter, they're the same" crap only serves to discourage participation in public affairs, which is part of how we got to the terrible place we're at in the first place.

Well they tried the centrist route with a candidate that was practically on the right. Going to the other end of the spectrum towards the "means of production"-crowd can't be too wrong. For normal people under 30 socialist has mostly lost it's negative connotation. Going too hard and fast to that direction might be a wrong move, but it's likely becoming more correct every year. Nice thing about old people is that they die.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez likely has her heart in the right place while she promises to work towards ideals that are out of reach for decades. It's not the worst lie to believe in. Candidates like her should appeal to similar people on the left that Trump appealed on the right.

I haven't heard anything about it. Some of their members are registered democrats and some just run on the ticket as independents. They aren't a party. It's just a political organization.
