    NFL Draft Thread

Only thing I love more than the NFL draft is being able to bet on the NFL draft. There are already some local books offering props on the Draft and as we get closer to Draft day more offshore books will be taking action.

Good news is the Patriots are practically guaranteed not to have a first round bust this year.

    My running list of bets.

    Tunsil U2.5 340/200
Bosa O 2.5 200/400 (wish I jammed this when I had the chance)
    Wentz U2.5 420/300
Treadwell O 7.5 420/300 (should have jammed this when the not running 40 story broke)
    Treadwell O 10.5 260/200
    Lawson O 9.5 1300/1000
    Nkemdiche O 15.5 600/500

Right now you can get Tunsil over 1.5 +200. I'm going to be liking at that closely based on this. Might be time to buy out. Problem is I think it's less than one % I can middle this by having Tunsil go 2, Clev is 99.9% going QB.

"In mid-January, sources with the Tennessee Titans said their preference was to trade down from the No. 1 overall pick and target a defensive back like Florida State cornerback/safety Jalen Ramsey. If the Titans were stuck at No. 1, the initial favorite was Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil. This week, sources with the Titans have told WalterFootball.com that Ramsey is now the favorite to be the No. 1 pick. They love the Seminoles defensive back on and off the field. To be clear, the pick has not been decided, and Tunsil is still in the running, but sources say that Ramsey is now the leading candidate to be the first-overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft."

Fuck Tunsil, Fuck Ramsey.... I'm going with Grant...

One scout times TTU WR Grant at 4.10 forty

A Saints scout timed TTU WR Jakeem Grant's forty at 4.10, according to Luke Rodgers of 247 Sports.
We all knew Grant was fast, but this time is crazy. Rodgers adds others timed Grant in the 4.1 range. It is worth noting TTU's official Twitter account timed Grant at 4.34. Grant, who stands around 5-foot-6 and 180-pounds and produced a number of highlight reel plays during his time with the Red Raiders, most notably with the ball in his hands. These type of manufactured touch players are very situation dependent, and hopefully Grant lands in the correct one.
Source: Luke Rodgers on Twitter Mar 11 - 11:40 AM

I get that schools tilt numbers during pro days and they mark off a 36.5 yard dash when it's supposed to be 40, but this shit is ridiculous.

In concluson, Megatron is a quitter but his career mirrors that of alot of talented workers in Detroit like Barry Sanders: Drop out of college early, join a union, and then you collect alot of money working for a inferior product and retire early.

I don't wish I'll will on the kid, but I sure as hell don't want him to go top 9..... With this news I feel as good as ever.

Clemson edge rusher Shaq Lawson's shoulder was flagged during the NFL Combine and he is on the list to return to NFL Indianapolis for medical rechecks, according to NFL Media's Albert Breer.
This might explain why big draft, who frequently see eye to eye with NFL teams, has not been hyping up Lawson's name in recent weeks, or at least as much as teammate Kevin Dodd. Lawson missed most of the Oklahoma semi final contest with a knee injury and was seen with a brace on his right shoulder for stretches of the season. Lawson is one of the top talents among edge rushers, and the rechecks will be important for his status on teams' boards. He did not bench at the NFL Combine or his pro day workout.

Don't look now but the next William Fridge Perry maybe coming to the NFL.. Last year TN drafted a mountain of a man who was 6'7" and 358 and was one of the largest ever drafted according to NFL sources. (based on total body mass and size). A year removed from the draft meet Baylors Laquan McGowan he is ONLY 6'6" but weighed in at an astounding 405 at Baylors Pro day last week.. In perspective former Detroit Lions Aaron Gibson at his largest was 410 but was 389 on draft day. So McGowan could very well be the first EVER 400lb draftee in the leagues history. McGowan as a unique player as he actually was a TE primarily in college most teams consider him obviously a more likely OL type. One thing to consider should he end up in say San Fran where Chip Kelly is now the HC one could easily see him being used as a gimmick player like the Fridge was at times who can actually catch the ball..

Rumor has it he isn't considered a likely draft pick but one never knows and weirder things have happened in the NFL.. When sometimes you get great guys in the 1st rnd like Peyton or the 6th like Brady or 1st rnd busts like Johnny Football, Ryan Leaf and possibly RG3. Maybe somebody gives this guy a shot and next thing you know he's a pro bowl beast of a TE playing for a team with a heavy jumbo short passing game where he can pass block, run block and even catch and steamroll corners 1/2 his size.

Updated list of draft bets. Some adds some hedges, we shall see.

    Tunsil U2.5 340/200 guaranteed loser
    Bosa O 2.5 200/400 guaranteed winner
    Wentz U2.5 420/300 guaranteed winner
    Nkemdiche O 15.5 600/500 guaranteed winner

Bosa O 4.5 360/300 Not feeling this one anymore ESP if.......
Ramsey U 4.5 480/400 Ramsey goes to SD. They should take Tunsil, but hear they like Ramsey. This is my fav bet. If SD takes Tunsil Dallas runs to the podium and takes Ramsey. He's the #1 player on thier board.

Lawson O 9.5 1300/1000 At one point my fav bet - the shoulder was fucked up and he wasn't going 1st round.
Lawson U 14.5 600/500 But his shoulder got cleared and now Chi/NO is looking at him at 12/13

    Treadwell O 7.5 420/300 guaranteed winner
    Treadwell O 10.5 260/200 guaranteed winner
    Treadwell O 19.5
    Dobson O 20.5
Coleman O 21.5 I think one WR goes in the teens and the rest go off the board starting at 22

As a Vikings fan, I'm OK with that decision.

As a patriot fan this is an annual viewing....

I'll say this for Jets fans, and I do mean it as a compliment. They are the one fan base where you could say they would have better teams if they let the fans do the drafting over the management.

We want Sapp! We want Sapp! We want Sapp!

LOL. Please enlighten us all as to what "system" Tunsil does not fit into. He is a freaking offensive lineman.

They won't take him because they have a lot of money already in their tackles. It would be a first for the best OT on the board (and who some have called the best player in the draft no less) to not "fit" a system.

Treadwell ran 4.63, and WR that run that painfully slow (and yes 4.63 is ridiculously slow for ANY WR...much less a 1st rd one) just don't get taken high in the first round. Ever. Go look it up. He is a late 1st round guy now.
