For some reason he believed that to be a promise that I wasn't ever going to run a forum of my own, which clearly I would never sign for $1200.
There was no language in the contract regarding me starting another forum, or regarding poaching DD's userbase for any site I start.
However, I did not poach anyone. I made people aware that I started it (not through DD), and told them they were welcome to post wherever they wanted -- here, DD, or both.
