This guy doesn't look like a + 4 era pitcher
Cubs bats set to blow up huge right about now

ok WTF...
Why are americans rooting for the CUBS?
Why are those stupid Cub fans buying and wearing Indians caps inside out, are they retarded?
Indians all the way ya fat fucks
All he needed was a base hit and instead he tried to hit it to Cleveland.
Hope you hedged.
The fans tonight made the dodgers fans look like cleveland fans. The average joe priced out of the game nothing but a bunch of rich dickheads sitting on their hands
I did not hedge. Far from over. They will be all over Kluber tomorrow
Kluber is 3-1 with a 0.74 in the postseason. He struck out 29 and allowed two runs in 24 1/3 innings. In Game 1 of the World Series, he struck out nine in six scoreless innings in a 6-0 win over the Cubs.
Lackey went 11-8 with a 3.35 ERA in 29 starts during the regular season. He's made two no-decision starts in the postseason with a 5.63 ERA.
Great series. Cubs either pile on the runs or get shut out. Hope it goes 7 games.
Since the start of the NLCS, Cubs are 5-0 when scoring at least ONE run, and 0-4 otherwise.
What a weird team.
How do you get shut out 4 times out of 8 NLCS/World Series games, including twice at home?
It seems like this team just can't hit good pitching, but can feast on mediocre/bad pitching. I mean, that can be said for every team, but it seems to be at an extreme level for this Cubs team.
Maybe they'll come back from 2-1 again and do the same as they did in the NLCS, but they don't have home field here, so it's going to be tougher.
I don't even know how to explain this. It's like a contagious bad-hitting bug goes around the team.
I can't explain it either. Maybe they are cursed.
They only got shutout 6 maybe 8 times all year.
They have beat plenty of very good pitchers this year.
They've gone from hot to cold too much in the playoffs.
You would think with the lineup the Cubs have they would be able to score, especially at home but solid pitching has shut them down. Boston and Toronto had solid lineups too but it didn't matter this Indians team is just clicking with the pitching and scoring enough to scrape by in the close games like Game 3.
Sorry but LOL for anyone betting Cubs at -225 for game 3. The math of having to win 69.23% to break even at that amount don't make sense unless you are playing a shitty team in the regular season.

Their you can see the Cubs went .640 on the during the regular season but only were 31-25 vs teams over .500 record. That isn't horrible but it's not amazing either.
What that stat does tell you is they only had to play 56 games against teams over .500 compared to the Indians who played 91 going 48-43. Not to say the Cubs weren't great this year but a lot of it came from beating up scrubs luck boxing into a soft schedule.
Cubs were 22-23 in 1 run games so if they don't punish a team they are vulnerable to lose while the Indians went 28-21 in 1 run games.
I hope the Cubs come back because I hate the Indians but it don't look good right now. Their only hope is getting to Kluber tomorrow otherwise this series is over.
Kershaw was worse than mediocre in Game 6. He was lousy.
His first pitch was high and outside, way out of the strike zone. I knew from that first pitch that the game would be full of fail. I know from watching Kershaw that he doesn't do things like that, especially not on the first pitch of the game. The guy walked 11 batters all season. He struck out 172, walked 11. His control is absolutely amazing, especially considering he's a starter.
When Kershaw takes the mound and almost airballs the first pitch over the catcher's head, he doesn't have good stuff.
He looked (and was) extremely hittable.
I don't know if Game 6 was a result of fatigue or just his usual postseason woes (which might be a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point), but he just took the mound and pitched a stinker of a game.
When I referred to "good pitching" and "mediocre pitching", I was referring to the stuff the pitcher has on that particular day. I wasn't referring to the overall stats of the pitcher.
The weird thing about the Cubs in the postseason is that they absolutely go to pieces if the pitcher has good stuff. All teams will struggle against a pitcher who is "on", but the Cubs just absolutely seem helpless. On the positive side, they seem great at jumping all over a pitcher who doesn't really have it that day.
Do you think it's a coincidence that they've been shut out 4 times in 8 games? There are a lot of great hitters on this team. This should not be happening.
tell us Henry. wtf is going on?
