Anyone who thinks drafting is some form of angle shoot has no business betting on anything bicycle related.

Dan Bilzerian cheated fair and square.
Dan was clearly angle-shooting.
He knew that having a vehicle in front and back, at just enough distance would give him an edge.
It protected him from strong winds.
Dan should do it again to erase all doubt.
This time go from Las Vegas to Los Angeles or San Diego.
This time the vehicles need to be at least 20 feet away from him at all times.
It had nothing to do with protecting him from winds.
Drafting is where you basically sit in the slip stream of the car in front of you. You can maintain pace with the car with minimum energy because its basically sucking you along behind it. Its extremely standard for anyone touring on a bike for example.
Complaining about it is literally like grousing about a golf shot because someone used a tee, its that standard.

At least a couple mistakes were made when this bet was put together.
mistake #1:Vegas to LA? or LA to Vegas? Which is easier?
mistake #2:Having Brian Rast as an arbitrary. Especially since he is backed financially and really good friends with Bilzerian.
mistake #3:Not specifically, restricting the distance between vehicles.
For his next bet, Dan will have sexual intercourse for at least 30 minutes straight without help.
Except for the 6 viagra pills he will take before.
I, personally, am in no need of proof. If Bill Perkins says he won the bet then he won the bet. If rich fuckers want to piss away millions of dollars, who am I to argue?
On the other hand, anybody else betting amongst themselves should have all bets void just on the premise that the ride was supposed to be from LA to Vegas. I don't think anybody else even suspected that the route was changed until the ride started. I know nobody here knew.

I would like to also like to know how people are overlooking the FUCKING RULES that they agreed to:
That 2nd rule seems like they didnt just angle shoot....they fully broke this rule. They equiped a vehicle with more shit than Batman's utility belt to block out all the wind.
"Dan cannot use any assistance from any motorized vehicle"
He used a motorized vehicle to block out most/all of the headwind, allowing him to use less energy, and draft from said vehicle. If you dont think this is major, why dont you try to walk down the street, and I stand in front of you with an industrial fan for 48 hours, blasting you with 40mph winds. I think you might notice a difference.
Please explain how one could "overlook" this. Its their rule and Dan just took a shit on it. Its not an "angle shoot" or a gray area. He straight up raped it with no lube or viagra.

I agree with this 100%. There is a big difference between drafting another bicycle and being sucked down the road by a van specifically designed for that purpose.
To win the drafting argument you have to say that the motor vehicle in front of him. in NO way assisted him, and that is just preposterous.
IMO it was a 100% angle shoot that Bill Perkins let him get away with.
and....LOL at the OP for calling the "opinion" of someone that bet on Dan to win as "proof"

those were the terms on march 16th. they changed the terms. that's the entirety of it. he did not cheat. rast's post makes that all pretty clear. read it, so when you talk about the fucking rules, you actually know the fucking rules.
just because us randoms didn't know the bet changed has no bearing on the bet changing.
so, the TWO PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE BET, PUBLICIZED THE RULES TO WHICH THEY WERE TO ADHERE TO, and then they changed them PRIVATELY,between themselves.
anyone, not privy to these rule changes, like myself and pretty much everyone else, gets fucked, because we all wagered based on THE PUBLICLY POSTED RULES.
I'd say anyone not privy to those rule changes just pushes their wagers and we all call shenanigans on this bullshit and feel shame for wasting our time.

For those folks who specifically bet that Bilzerian would bike from LA to Vegas within 48 hours, I agree with you. But folks who specifically bet that Bilzerian would not win *the bet he made with Perkins* should have to pay up. If they were ignorant of the details of the bet between those parties, that is their problem. In the world of finance, such a bet would be considered a simple derivative of the original bet, and not voided by any misinformation or lack of information about the details of the bet between The Bilzerbeast and SuperFish Perkins.
Addendum: But since *the bet between Bilzerian and Perkins changed*, one could argue (as [Correction] DRK Star does) that the original bet was voided, so it would revert to a void of any derivative bets.
