    Belly coming to Vegas

Just for three nights with family in the summer before traveling on to AZ/CA.

Was looking to book either the Vdara or MGM signature. Thinking is the family would be better in a no gambling no smoking place, but still close enough to the strip / casinos.

Unless anyone else has any better ideas ......

Agree stayin at a hotel with nocasino is better for me at least, there is a Mariot one block off the strip close to PH , Cosmo, Aria. Good gym and meh pool but you can byob there. Nice kitchen in the suite's as well.

    Good luck have fun!
    all hail Hydra

I recommend Vdara. The Signature Towers are a long walk from the rest of the MGM property. At Vdara you are right next to Aria, and a short walk to Bellagio. Only downside (for me and Druff), it is valet parking only.

Booked the Vdara. Got a sweet suite (sic) from Airbnb, privately owned 2-bedroom penthouse (BALLIN') but cost-wise really not much more than getting two standard hotel rooms. OK well a bit more but hey.

    So the itinerary is:

    Vegas 3 nights
Grand Canyon 2 nights (staying at Tusayan)
LA 7 nights (staying in Sherman Oaks area)
Road trip through Death Valley (yes I know - mid Summer - LOL) / Yosemite 3 nights
San Fran / Bay Area 7 nights (staying in Larkspur area)

Talking of airbnb I have booked the majority of the nights using that site. Bit of a gamble not really used it before, but :whynot

Plan to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain while in LA (big coaster fan), no doubt Universal, maybe Disney. Bay Area will be more relaxed - bit of wind down time.

Open to ideas / suggestions for any must do activities, hidden gems etc.

Lord of the Fraud: that sounds like a lot fun.... but it's an incredibly dangerous country, so make sure you wear a vest at ALL TIMES.

LegallyNonBindingPosts: Should be comfortable in Larkspur. Stroll in redwood shade at Muir Woods/Mt. Tam. Drive to Point Reyes Station for a quick lunch and continue to Point Reyes Lighthouse for dramatic views.

Hope you and your family are enjoying your trip. I wish we could keep you and ship back a few million dickheads. Take your family for a shitty spray tan so the brutal Death Valley sun can produce a nice orange hue like our potential president. When in Rome...
