The cancer got him. If he's had it for a while, I kind of understand why he went nuts with the crack, booze, and hookers. If I got a terminal diagnosis I would probably go off the deep end too.

Hell it all makes sense now. How do you not blare it to the world that you have the C word and get all the sympathy you could?
He didn't know he had cancer or wasn't diagnosed until he was running for re-election, which was much, much later, & had to drop out & instead ran for his old council seat, which he won.
