Well my Wynham credit card continues to give me matching status to Caesars. I have to pay $100 a year but the poker list line cut makes that worth it in an hour. Not to mention the celebration dinner and Wyndham points which i transfer to Caesars.

And I just noticed I can match to National Rental Car Emerald Elite. Not sure what that gets me. I do not book rental cars from the airline site after getting screwed in New Orleans a couple years ago, so I created a National membership because you just go to the aisle. Now I might be elite, too. Not sure what that means.

The Emerald Elite thing is a great tip. I already have Executive via a credit card, but Elite is better. Here's a description: https://www.nationalcar.com/en/emera.../benefits.html

Regarding Wyndham's Business Earner Card, that is great for getting Diamond for $95/year. Unfortunately it expires every February 1, and sometimes they drag their feet renewing it. I've had to call both Wyndham and Caesars to get them to speed it up on their end. The slowness is usually Wyndham.

Yeah it's hard to get approved with this awful card. I literally put 20 hours into getting mine. No exaggeration.

You should have put your business income being higher than $1k, but too late for that now.

Try the credit department at (866) 710-2688, between 5am and 5pm, Pacific time. Ask them specifically why you were rejected. If it's because of your $1k business income, tell them you entered the wrong thing, and tell them you thought they meant per week, not per year. But don't say that unless they tell you this was the reason it was rejected. Remind them that your credit is perfect, and you're glad to prove your identity as necessary. Tell them you are fine if the card has a low limit, but at the very least you'd like to get started with it at whatever they'll approve.

It also might be a "security" failure. That's why they denied me, which was really annoying, because there was absolutely no reason for it. I had to jump through a million hoops to prove a million things to them, before they finally issued the card. Nobody could coherently explain to me why there was a security concern in the first place. I didn't have to bullshit about anything to get approved. It was just slow and a huge hassle with a million phone calls, due to their incompetence. If it is security, ask them for the security department phone # and call them.

Just a quick update. I'll summarize my journey:

Day 1: Applied for the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card. Instant response was pending.

Days 2-75: I’ll spare you the details. But, i spent many hours on hold and talked to many customer service reps and managers at various departments, including security department and KYC department. I went to the post office twice to mail driver license, SS card, utility bills.

Day 76: sent for final review

Day 85: letter in the mail DENYING my applications (after another hard pull).

Day 245: per reddit, i waited about 6 months before reapplying. Instant response was pending.

5 minutes later: i received a phone call from a customer service rep. Who verified the information on my app. Instant approval over the phone for a $1,000 credit line.

Day 247: Wyndham status updated to diamond

Day 248: Requested Caesars diamond using online form.

Day 258: Got the Caesars diamond status! (late Feb)

    Glad you finally got it.

Yeah, the approval process for this card is HORRENDOUS if you're not instantly approved.

The good news is that it's mostly smooth sailing now that you already have it, provided Caesars still does this in 2025.

My son heard me on some of these phone calls, and he laughed very hard at how stupid they were.

Wyndham Business Earners Rewards card no longer works for status match, as of February 1, 2025.

    So don't bother getting it.

I have updated the first post regarding other ways to get Diamond without gambling.

On vpfree2 it shows horseshoe vegas as having 9/6 job in high limit at 10 dollars per TC not 25 like most good games in Vegas.

    Is this accurate?

Not sure where you're seeing that.

Here's the Horseshoe Vegas page: https://www.vpfree2.com/casino/horseshoe-las-vegas

It says the best game is 9-5 Jacks of Better (98.45%), though technically the 7-5 Bonus Poker (98.01%) Double Super Times Pay is the best, as the feature takes it up to about 98.5%. More variance though. Also more fun.

I’ve looked and never seen one in there.

    BUMP

I have updated everything on the front page. Tedious, but I did it.

Let me know if you have any corrections, as some of the info is from 2022, especially in the midwest.

Added the El Dorado merger casinos, as well.

I’ve been Wyndham Rewards Diamond Member for years so just applied online for Caesar’s Diamond Match. It said two weeks to process.

I used the Wyndham credit card to get the diamond match a couple of years ago. Used the comped rooms only twice. The Caesars diamond card expired and they X’d out the credits. They reduced me to gold.

So I check their hotel prices. Surprised to see I still get comped rooms midweek in Vegas. But there’s like $55 in fee’s per night at the Horseshoe.

I checked Laughlin and I get comped rooms 7 days a week. The fee’s are only $18 to $20 per night. But with the diamond match I won’t even pay that.

Sorry, this doesn't work anymore unless you earn Wydham Diamond via stays. I know you are on the road a lot, so maybe you've earned it.

But the credit card thing stopped working in 2025. I had to earn my Diamond the old fashioned way this year (which fortunately is good until January 2027).

Amazing work, Druff! I used your diamond status matching tips a few years ago before the WSOP and it saved me a bunch just in parking and lines (Plus the $100 dinner voucher). I might have to take a trip to Reno before next summer...

I think I worded the first sentence in my post wrong. The qualifier for Diamond Member with Wyndam Hotels is 40 paid nights. I've been staying at Wyndam Hotels, and have been a Diamond Member, for years. So I easily qualify for the Diamond Match with Caesars. I applied online for the Match a couple of days ago. It said it would take two weeks to process.

Todd, I have a question on total wager to get to Diamond.

Normally, at $10 per tier credit, a person would run 5,000 tier credits to get a bonus of 10,000 tier credits to get the Diamond card.

Running 5,000 tier credits gets a 10,000 tier credit bonus.

$10 per tier credit, multiplied by 5000 tier credits, means a total wager of $50,000 to get the Diamond Card.

Does that mean that if one is getting a 5X multiplier it would take just a $10,000 wager to get the Diamond Card?

What I'm looking for is the exact total wager to get to Diamond when getting a 5X multiplier.

The tier multipliers do NOT multiply any bonus tiers you might earn while getting there. However, you do still get the bonus -- it's just not multiplied.

On a 5x tier multiplier day, if you ran 5,000 tier credits ($50,000 coin-in at video poker) in one gaming day you would get:

    5,000 base tiers
20,000 multiplier bonus (4x plus the 1x you already earned)
    10,000 standard tier bonus
    TOTAL = 35,000 tiers

That would get you to Diamond Plus, as well as another 10,000 tiers. So that's overkill.

So what is the exact total wager to get to Diamond (15,000 tiers) with a 5x multplier?

    2,500 base tiers
    10,000 multiplier bonus
    5,000 standard tier bonus
    TOTAL = 17,500 tiers

That would be $25,000 coin-in on video poker, and $12,500 on slots. Make sure you get it done in a single gaming day.

That's the optimal way to do it on a 5x. That's because the 1,000 tier bonus for 1,000 base tiers becomes 5,000 once you hit 2,500 base tiers, so there's no way to earn 15,000 on a 5x multiplier day easier than the above.

On a 10x multiplier day (there are two coming up now, see first post in the thread), you can earn it by simply earning 1,400 tier credits in a gaming day.

Druff, on 12 May 2023 I PM'd you that I found $1 8/5 Super Aces (99.94%) in the bartops near the front entrance at Harrah's Council Bluffs. I don't see it updated in your OP of this thread. I can't say they are still there but they were there in May 2023.

Well known video poker pro and Las Vegas Adviser columnist, Bob Dancer just announced, in his LVA blog, that the Row in Reno changed it's point structure to $20 per point. That affects the video poker in the El Dorado.

Bob's blog at LVA is now behind a paywall.

    Ugh, bad news about Reno.

Also... Founders Card no longer matches to Caesars Diamond. They've switched to Wynn.

I just checked the CZR app and I’ve been upgraded to Diamond.
