Yea its true. The guy just open sits a bunch of tables. If anyone but a stone fish sits, he'll play his button only and sit out. If you stay sitting for awhile, he'll leave and open up another table, and the process repeats itself. If he wants to bumhunt thats fine, just dont button all the regs over and over again. For those of you unfamiliar, "poaching" refers to talking a fish out of a ring game and having him move to play you heads up instead.
Some also consider it poaching to ask a fish to move up and play higher, but unless it's noticeably higher (such as 2-4 to 10-20), I don't think that is unethical, provided that the new higher game will accommodate everyone in the existing game.
But I think Butters is implying that Ryland was poaching the fish into his own HU games.
