Made it through episode 3 of the new series (the one about monsters) and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Has anybody seen a british series called Fresh Meat? Been running since 2011. Heard good things but it's several seasons long. Helluva commitment unless it's consistently solid.
Or how about The Good Wife? Has got the reviews, but again it's 6 seasons worth.
I watched the first episode of X-Files and that was it. So, so bad. I watch a lot of shows.
Also what's with the no swearing policy in most of the American made tv series?

Fresh meat is half decent. Like 7,5 or something like that. Out of the currently running series It's always sunny in Philadelphia is way better. With It's always sunny there's a big jump in quality going from season 1 to 2 so if you've never watched the show it's ok to start it from season 2.
Black Sails is decent.
Pirates and stuff.

Out of currently running comedy series i also like Broad City and Teachers better than Fresh Meat but that wouldn't necessarily be true for you. If you somehow missed Spaced or Coupling when they first aired you should watch those before Fresh Meat.
And out of non scripted comedy/panel shows there's always 8 out 0f 10 cats does countdown.
can't believe carter resurrected the x files after so many years and came up w/ this. nice to see mulder and scully and not the fat girl from mystic pizza and the terminator guy.
on one hand the episodes were seamlessly the same, and never missed a beat. but they were suppose to deliver much, much more. joel mchale and and lauren ambrose were poor choices as well.
next stop for carter is walter white isn't dead after they run out of decent writings for better call saul..give it a couple more years and breaking bad will prolly be on the air again. cash cows never die.

i will say that my wife watches a bunch of crap and i'm usually in the background zoning it out. but the good wife i found myself looking over my laptop and listening more than usual.
Ive seen a few episodes of the Good Wife and it seemed decent. If I remember, it takes place in Chicago and has a lot of political story lines that seemed to be fairly accurate.
Ya i've kinda been on the first date with 'The Good Wife' (3 episodes) and it's a different storyline each week... Not bad viewing by any means, but not the type of program i was initially looking for. Would also help if the lead actress was a little hotter.
I was never a X-Files fan but I thought these new 6 episodes were pretty good. Better call Saul is the nuts.
