I got similarly scammed on 2+2 years ago. I was trying to arrange a Pokerstars/FTP $ exchange with a guy I thought I could trust, and he ended up having me send a quarter or fifth of it first ($50, I believe) and then he totally disappeared on me. (it was so long ago, but my posts and PMs about it are still on 2+2 I am sure.)
The incident really turned me off of the whole "marketplace" etc., and I swore to myself that I would never send anyone anything first ever again.

Maybe throw up a thread in flying stupidity that actually in bold shows the guys name, face, etc. Then we can hassle the bastard on radio next week?
