Wow. Im not a New Yorker or anything, but boy i feel really old when a kid posts an article like this and furthermore voices his awe at the goings on during that time.
I do remember this time once when there was a terrorist attack in NYC, and you wouldn't believe it, but a couple of big ass buildings were demolished. True story.

i was 11 in 96.
15 and bombing daily at the time. The article has quite a few inaccuracies and about half the people they interviewed were basically posers/wannabees. No idea about the NY scene specifics but i do know a bit about tagging crews and what they sometimes evolve in to.
