Best place to eat in LA close to LAX

The future Mrs. Stamos and myself will be in LA next month and have a 6 and a half hour layover at LAX before we fly out to Bora Bora. We are thinking of leaving the airport and having dinner somewhere close to the airport. I am completely unfamiliar with the LA area and unsure about the food as well so could someone list some good options that would be relatively easy to get too?

We like all kinds of food so really any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, tune into the premiere of 'Fuller House' next week!

6 and a half hours might be enough time to get through traffic, eat and get back.. maybe.

P.S. If you're at LAX, how do you not eat at this building? Can you still eat there, it's been a decade since i've been there..

Tito's Tacos in Culver City. Really good tacos and burritos....there will most likely be a line. 21 min ride from the airport, and you might run into a celebrity (like when I was in line with Fox Sports' NFL Referee Analyst Mike Pereira the last time I was there). Also when I went it was cash only, so make sure you have some on you.

Front Page Jamaican Grill is a hole-in-the-wall strip mall restaurant with unbelievable Jerk chicken....no ambiance but great food.

Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles is also a great choice.

If you want to risk driving a bit...30 minutes away in Santa Monica I recommend Tar and Roses....unbelievable restaurant!

Head to Malibu or Santa Monica...if you want an experience try Venice Beach.

Front Page is excellent and cheap Jamaican. Literally a mom and pop joint (no pun intended). It is my go to place for a quick bite on the way to LAX and the Forum. Love the plastic and styrofoam cutlery. Drinks served in their original aluminum cans to preserve their flavor!

If you have more time, Bludso's BBQ in Compton. Best in LA. Probably best if you go during daylight hours, as getting lost in that neighborhood after dark could be problematic.

Manhattan or Hermosa if you want nice beaches with restaurants and shit to do. Venice is a beach that doubles as a homeless shelter. Kind of a bucket list thing but it's full of the worst kind of people. Close to LAX is Playa Del Rey which is nice and my go to if we just want to mess around. Some decent restaurants and places to go but very secluded as far as beaches in LA go. Santa Monica is too crowded and you can't even go in the water in some spots. Malibu beaches are nice but a little drive.

how the hell did you end up with a 6 hour layover? are you flying on the cheap or did you fuck up when scheduling your itinerary?

no offense but a 6 hour layover sounds like something druff would do to save $20

I agree. Lot of good looking foreign girls that will do almost anything in the private rooms.

This is the type of place you eat at if you are drunk. Same goes for Tito's Tacos.
