You could manage a baseball team and it would not matter much. Coach a basketball team and you would get slaughtered by a great coach. If you'd like we can both escrow with Druff and make a wager (we can keep it small for fun) on who advances further in the playoffs, the Thunder or Spurs. If they both go out in the same round then it will be a push.

I respect your opinion but to me basketball is the least important in terms of coaching. Last year it was basically a known fact that Lebron was calling his own plays, disregarding Blatt's instructions. Remember that one game in Chicago in the playoffs where James shrugged off the play called during the timeout?

I just think (especially with veterans) the difference between a excellent coach and a average one is meaningless. Eric Sploestra went to 4 finals. Would anyone agree he is a top tier coach? I'm a heat fan and I don't.

If Doc Rivers hadn't won that "one" title with that stacked Boston team, he would be regarded as a journeyman coach.

Drexel was right about the coaching. The argument was shifting in Drexel's favor when the pace of Druff's delivery rivaled that of a Sotheby's auctioneer.

More often than not, in college every pitch is called by the coach/manager. You'll see the catcher glance to the bench after every toss. Moving up, some of that gets delegated to the catcher if he is a veteran. (But even that is mapped out pre-game). College kids don't make a friggin single decision on there own.

This per play coaching is only rivaled by football. No argument football coaches are most important.

With the advent of baseball wonks and big data, more than ever, every defensive alignment, shift, matchup is called. Watch your Dodgers this year Druff, this is now a big data team.

These managers don't all have jock itch just cause you see them constantly tugging at their balls.

I was watching while I was listening. These two guys played some poker that was beyond freeroll. Some pretty cool soul reads. Many great post flop plays. I was impressed.

Don't know anchordraw but he is prolly a pretty good player IRL.
