    Foxwoods trip

I'm thinking about planning a poker / golf trip for a few friends to Foxwoods this summer. What is the best airport to fly into to go to Foxwoods? What's the drive like from there? Etc.

I tried the googles but it was confusing.

I'd likely fly out of Cleveland but I'm open to Columbus or Pittsburgh as well.

    TF Green if you can.

Why Foxwoods? Doing research on failed big box casinos? Place is soul less. In the middle of nowhere.

A once great poker room. Once the most tables in the world.

Mohegan Sun is a happier place. But nothing special really.

The guys in this particular group enjoy golf and low limit seven card stud.

EDIT: Looks like Mohegan would definitely be an option as well although it doesn't look it has as many games going as Foxwoods. And only one golf course?

    Yup, Mohegan is much smaller.

If it's Stud, then Foxwoods. I gotta laugh thinking of the half dead Stud grinders in the back of the room.

Do not pass up the opportunity to get stories about what that room was like, say about 2007. 100 friggin tables with a list. Vanessa, all that. Now look around.

    Good history.

    Just keep the trip short.

I returned there after a 4-5 year break as I had moved to Florida. I couldn't believe how much that place fell apart. Used to be THE it spot to go away with the boys and have a poker weekend. Now it's just a shit hole.

I legit can't imagine flying in there for a fun weekend. If you are going through the trouble of flying in you might as well go to vegas.

    Yeah. We've done Vegas.

I was trying to find a spot that has both golf and low-limit seven card stud. There's no stud in Vegas below 30-60 for the most part.
