From a reliable source:

- Pokerstars will have the PCA in the Bahamas again in 2017, but that will be its final year.

Reasons cited:

- The numbers have been decreasing since Black Friday, so it isn't as profitable as it once was.

- Pokerstars already has other successful live tournament series running throughout the year, which did not exist when the PCA began over 10 years ago.

- PCA tournament and its concept are "stale" at this point.

- Bahamas location is only convenient for USA players, who cannot play on Pokerstars anymore.

- Contract will be up, and Pokerstars will not be renewing.


It is unclear at this time if the PCA will be replaced by any other tournament or venue.
