Good timing, I just moved back to Reno.

I wonder if the prices will go down because these prices are the highest I have seen in any medical dispensary.
33% tax, Holyshit.
I'm glad recreational pot will become legal. I always thought it was obnoxious when people treated it like medicine. Sure, it helps with nausea and appetite, but 99.9 percent of the people who want pot use it to get high. Getting high should be good enough. Good job
I doubt that prices in Nevada will go down anytime soon due to the fact of limited supply. Sales from dispensaries to growers are highly regulated. You can't just walk into a dispensary from off the street and sell your crop (like you can here in California). On the other hand, the cannabis in Nevada is excellent. It is some of the best indoor I've ever smoked, and I have sampled at least 200 grows this past year, so that is a pretty strong statement.
Veagas can correct me if I am wrong.
That is an inaccurate statement. Anyone can buy the shity CBD cartridges you're talking about on the internet and have them delivered directly to their door. If you want something with THC in it you're not getting it in New York at a good price At least not without that med card and it still probably shity oil. Also the 33% tax is an inaccurate statement as well. It is taxed 15% at wholesale and then 10% at retail. It's actually the cheapest of all of the retail taxes in a recreational Market. There will be high prices though, there aren't many cultivators in the state up and running compared to what the demand is going to be. It's going to take a few years before we have a saturation point. And I completely agree with the best cannabis in the world comment because I'm one of those cultivators. In fact we are considered to be the top both flower and oil and most concentrates
Flour? Fuckin stoners, man.

Vegas, what does it feel like becoming a multi-millionaire overnight?
and I know it took a shit ton of work to get to this point, but still
edit: not sure what I hit to put that smiley face emoji in there but it's appropriate
Krypt lets start a weed shop in Vegas. I'm sure your family would be proud. I promise not to discuss the fit of your shirt and will never call you Hammerhead. We can even name the shop Joseph A. Dank
Colorado has 18%.
Can a nigga just get medical grade for 2200 a lb?
it sounds as if there are strong quality standards...
according to recent article in LA Weekly, a large percentage of marijuana sold in the US is tainted with contaminants that could be harmful to humans, particularly cancer patients...

so Nevada's regulation of growers may indeed be the best system despite the high price
(long before there was a PFA i had my Grenade & Crossbones avatar at DD)
This is spot on. As a grower of many years I know the nasty shit that people will spray on there bud just to get it to Market. There is a lot of very nasty stuff that people have been inhaling for decades because Black Market Growers don't give a shit about anybody's Health. The only care about the almighty dollar. This even goes for stuff that is sold in California dispensaries. I know for a fact that a lot of growers in California spray the same nasty chemicals to compat a myriad of issues that are native to California. More than 85% of the stuff that is grown in California would not be able to be sold in Nevada. It's simply would never get past our testing. We are selling the cleanest best marijuana that has ever been produced in the history of the world.
That testing is very expensive though. When I'm selling flower I have to get it tested in increments of every 5 lb. Every one of those tests cost me between $300 to $500. there is a lot of cost involved before I actually get product to Market but I am still able to maintain a very good price per pound that will reflect a $50 eighth at a dispensary. I can't control what they decide to mark it up to it that point though and as of right now they're marking up by 150%.
also my apologies for all the typos, I'm running around like crazy today and can only respond by doing talk-to-text.
Honestly Willie I don't really look at it like that. For me it's more of a relief to know that I don't have to worry about paying the bills for my business every month in order to keep the doors open. This last year was easily the most stressful period of my life. The amount of pressure I was under was greater than anything I've ever felt. I have over 35 employees now so just making sure they get paid on time is a massive amount of pressure on its own. Throw in everything else I have to deal with and it's just incredible. So knowing now that the demand is there for us to sell our products as fast as I can produce them is a giant relief for me.
