Attention Canucks: Where should I vacation this summer in your country?

I will soon be planning a trip to Canada, to take place this summer.

I have no idea yet where I am going. Please post some suggestions here.

However, please keep in mind the following.

    1) I have been to several areas of Canada in the past few years, so I don't need to repeat any of these places:
    Toronto
    Montreal
    Niagara Falls
    Quebec City
Towns along the Saugenay river in Quebec
    Vancouver
    Victoria Island
    Waterton National Park
    Nova Scotia
    Prince Edward Island

    2) I would like the itinerary to be "one-way driveable", meaning no flights other than in and out of Canada.

Basically, suggest a route in Canada where I haven't been recently. TY

Outside of what you have already seen, methinks you could just go to Minnesota and see the equivalent of the rest of Canada.

Where did you go in Nova Scotia? Did you do the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton or did you stay around Halifax?

Ottawa and Calgary, assuming you like stampede, seem like obv choices.

Maybe so, but the USD to USD exchange rate is not as favorable as USD to CAD.

Well if you want to go full indian you can go to Northern Saskatchewan to Waskesiu Wilderness Region is a National Park. no five stars here though, it may very well be the best family wilderness adventure we have ever done, of course we stayed in a B&B but there were some very cool things about this place that we still talk about.... Northern Lights and the Stars it is very dark there at night, good fishing if you like.

Lots of stuff to do around Banff & Jasper but I cant put them on the map due to roads being closed. If you have questions I'll try to answer them.

Yup. Banff and Jasper 100%. We were there last summer, and it's stunning. Make sure you actually stay in the towns of Banff & Jasper!

Definitely agree with the prevailing suggestion of Banff. One of my favourite spots in the world. When I lived in Calgary I went there every month or so and I still go once a year even though I live clear across the country. You have to do the gondola. It's free if you walk up Sulfur Mountain and take the gondola down.

The drive up to Jasper is spectacular, although the town of Jasper is pretty boring. I call it "The City that Never Wakes." Every second house is a "Bed and Breakfast" without the breakfast. My girlfriend and I stayed at one of these places and I shit you not the lady who was renting out rooms in her house gave us a fucking curfew. Wasn't much to do at night in Jasper anyways. Columbia Icefield is worth a look if you like staring at glaciers.

Agree with everyone so far in that Banff/Jasper, Calgary Stampeed are great options.

Also suggest the drive via Calgary to Kelowna or vise-versa through the Rockies. Its a longer drive but worth it.

Another suggestion would be traveling in the Okanagan (Kelowna, Kamloops, Pentiction/Naramata area of BC) or combine with the above. You can check out the scenery and/or hit up the various wineries in the Okanagan (winery area similar in a sense to Northern California). Edit: Most if not all the wineries have restaurants which kids can go to. There is plenty to do with kids in these areas as well, esp the Cities/Lakes.

There are some routes and options here that are pretty good: http://www.hellobc.com/thompson-okan...ng-routes.aspx

    Also lol Victoria Island...
