As much as I hate to ruin the momentum established by the recent return of Drexel and Daredevil to the show, I will not be able to run radio this week because Ben's mom will be away.
Brandon is welcome to run a radio show in my place if he feels like it.
Radio will return on February 10.

I will be doing radio on Wednesday. There will be a thread posted tomorrow. Will do my best to start the show at its usual time, if not it may be an hour later than usual at the most starting.
Working on finding a co-host and I am waiting to hear back from druff in regards to how much we have in the free roll account. I'd like to do $100+ free roll.
This will NOT be an into the night show. This show will be along the same lines as what regular wednesday listeners have come to expect. I will cover serious poker subjects so those that expect that won't be disappointed. I asked druff to prepare a list of subjects he would cover if he would have been running the show.
More will be posted in the thread but I definitely plan to speak about and tell stories of legendary media mogul/biggest whale gambler ever/best tipper ever Kerry Packer.

LOL at covering the serious poker topics that Druff will just cover in full the following week. You can discuss some that peak your interest if they are really good but as stated Druff will be covering them a week later.

You must be new here (not really), but obviously didn't read Brandon's post. Also the $300 from Cmoney is for an into the night with Drexel, not a normal weekly show which is what Bradon said in his post (which you obviously read) will try and emulate.
Any firsthand stories from back when you worked in casinos or are these stories ones ive likely read about on the net before?
My uncle was an advertising exec back in the 80's and worked for consolidated press (kerry packers media company). he took me to the company family xmas bbq one year when i was about 8 or 9, the big man kerry himself rolled thru briefly and can still remember he patted me on the head and said "how are you son"

Someone asked me recently and I am struggling to pinpoint the moment. I remember a fad in elementary school with shooting marbles on playground. I remember getting Scarne books from library in elementary school. His stories about Cuba I remember decades later.
Edit: Jesus. It's all coming back. I remember in 8th grade hiring an older stoner to go with me to the dog track. I needed him to place and collect bets at the window.
The newspapers used to post the races and some kind of odds info. Wow, ancient history. I set about learning parimutual wagering and rolled up my lawn mowing money.
I still remember first race. All the dogs crashing into each other as they rounded the first turn. That chapter was closed quick.
I was always a sick fuck. But how did I get the bug initially?

Many apologizes but radio unfortunately will be delayed until tomorrow (1-4-16) at 7:30pm pst.
My Jack Russell had surgery today and although he is ok, there were some complications and I will be giving him meds and paying other special attention to him and will be alone until 10pm i.e. I won't be able to concentrate as I would like on having the best show possible.
