    Prop Bet Etiquette?

So, someone on these forums recently invited me to discuss a prop bet and so I drafted up some terms and amount and sent an "offer" to him via PFA Private Message.

This is the kind of offer that if he accepts, then the bet is on. I didn't specify a deadline, but it has been a few days and I haven't heard anything, yay, nay or even acknowledgment of receipt. The 'event' we are betting on is not urgent or anything, but at this point I'd like to get an answer, and if he rejects the offer then perhaps offer something similar to some other PFA members.

How long should I have to wait for a response, yay or nay, or even an acknowledgment that he received the offer and is considering it? Obviously if I withdraw the offer before he responds, then there is no bet.

Should I send another PM setting a deadline by which the offer will expire? It's $100 and a fun sweat, so not a huge deal obviously.

I'm not a prop betting veteran like some of you seem to be, so I ask..... What's the proper etiquette here?

Do you know that he has been on PFA? If he is just ignoring you, i would cancel the bet.

I think more details are needed to tell you what you should do...

In general though if it's someone who is online a lot and you see them just try reaching out again.

If the guy is on PfA than I think you just got your point across. Otherwise I would send a cordial reminder and simply ask him to acknowledge the offer.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
