He never clearly says that this was his bust hand. Havent we established here that you have to be clear in your wording?Qq into aa at least it wasn't a bad beet. Just to short in these not to get qq in the middle. Pool day #tpedge

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
I have never had him on, but I had a brief correspondence with him about it when we first started doing shows. I would like to have him on, I have no problem with the guy. I have watched and enjoyed some of his videos, etc. Like I said, I would have posted the tweets regardless of who the person was because it was a bit of a buzz yesterday and this is a poker forum.

Casey would make a great guest on Filthy Limper or PFA Radio, he does a good job on the TPE podcast. The guy is hilarious as well as having a great poker mind. The Lock sponsorship would probably make a PFA Radio appearance too awkward.
Can someone link me to why Lock poker is shady? I play on there and know a couple of the pros personally, but haven't talked to them in a long time, and wonder if they were involved. I'd also just like to know what happened in general since I play there.

They are also leaving Merge on June 1st (at least that's the last date I heard for the separation).
Wow, yeah, I get about 55% of rb put into my vault every single day on Lock. I never knew anything about that shady stuff. Great read. You say pick any skin at random, but which one would you trust the most with your money? Forget software. Also, are they still all 35% max?
So you are still getting 55% rakeback with no cashout or playthrough requirements? Interesting. I heard of some people getting as much as 77% at one point, but those days seem to be long past.
The maximum allowed rakeback is 35%, yes, though some are still doing under-the-table shenanigans.
I play on Hero, which has always treated me well. Not sure if they are taking new US players though.
Hero is still taking US players.
This is VERY much implied to be a bustout hand.
"Just to short in these no to get qq in the middle" was the key statement.
This clearly says:
1) He got all of his chips in with QQ
2) He is justifying doing so because the stacks in this event are too short
The last statement about "Pool day" is telling people that he's done for the day.
So it's clear he got all of his chips in with the QQ -- or at least that was his claim. The only way he could have survived this would be if he had the other guy covered, but that would either leave him really short (to where going all-in with A6 suited, especially with a flush draw, is totally standard) or just have made a big dent in his stack (say, took him down from 9k to 4500).
Neither of these scenarios would make sense according to Kim's account. If Casey was left really short after the QQ/AA hand, there's no way Kim would have tweeted that he played A6 "horribly", as there's really no way to play A6 horribly with a flush draw if you're short.
If Casey simply lost a lot of chips from the QQ/AA hand but wasn't short, he would have tweeted that it dented his stack but that he still has enough to play with. He wouldn't have waited until busting and then implied that he had to "get it all in the middle" with QQ.
As I said earlier, it's possible that Casey is telling the truth, but in my opinion, not likely.
If Casey really does put himself into these events, there isn't really a scandal here. It's just a case of a guy telling a white lie in order to protect his poker image, which is understandable since it's really not hurting anyone.
If Casey is being backed, then this is very shady.
My understanding of what happened (mind you i wasn't there) was he lost the pot with QQ vs AA and had the person covered. This sent his stack down to 3,000ish (starting stack was 4,500) he busts getting it all-in with nut flush draw. it was also only his second tweet of the day, so it wasn't like he was giving hand by hand reviews of his day.... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one based in his reputation... also LOL at the twitter guys like Brett Richey saying he sucks at poker, go check out his P5's numbers
