This was a really interesting post to me.

You're ruling out poker. You're ,by extension, apparently ruling out online casino stuff and sports betting - which is easy to access & obvious as a gamble.

You mention Bitcoin yet are still looking for something else.

The biggest casino obviously is the stock market. Here there are infinite sick gambles available.

If you only want to risk a hundred or a few hundred, maybe something like the Robinhood app might be interesting.

Kids keep pinging me about it. College kids and 20 something's seem to be playing with this. I haven't downloaded it yet cause I'm too lazy.

    What I'm told:
The essence is that it's a free app. I hear it's only IOS (might be wrong - but who the fuck uses Android) Trades are commission free. It's a VC startup kind of thing. They make their money on interest in cash accounts. Their dream I believe is to get their button linked to shit like Stocktwitch etc and hit huge scale.

You link to your checking for funding. You provide social security #.

Their execution cost still must be $1 or $1.50 @ the exchange. Smells like typical VC startup model.

I have been lazy and not tried it. Sounds like cheap action if that's what you desire. Might bite you hard and draw you into the rabbit hole of speculation & markets. God knows the markets are fucking crazy right now. Pray it doesn't end.

Get Chaps to bite with his penny stocks and we might all fund equally - we could do a contest and/or start a thread.

I dunno what kind of reporting/summary this app provides for screenshots. Don't want Chaps to deposit $5k and declare himself the winner.

In before Monsterj hits us with execution comment. Still beats $7-10 per trade on small capital. Limit orders are avail.

Finally, I understand trades take 3 days to clear. Quite normal for non margin acct. You aren't exactly daytrading with just $100 - that is more my style. We'd be doing some swing trades or just (God forbid) investing. I'll still crush you lol

Hit the interwebz & see what you think. Else, there is always ACR spin-n-go.

    Peace

Get rich quick schemes come and go pal. The scrap heap of history is littered with guys like you trying to make a quick buck by doing nothing.

You want to make an investment? Make an investment is your spiritual faith, and don't look back.

    Good luck.

I've been involved in the greyhound racing biz for past 25 ish years. Wagered, then owned, and trained. Grew up in the degeneracy. First bet on the hounds was a 54-1 shot (Abilene Haaj)..paid $110 on on my $2 win slip at the age of twelve courtesy of my Aunt. My mind was fucked after that rush. Felt like King Dick, was hooked after that.

So, what im saying is I bet on greyhounds and a small amount on thoroughbreds for extra jing. Started ADW (Advance deposit wagering) for a living in 2011. Wake up slightly before 11 am everyday, go over my race cards, look at my kennel charts, watch a few replays, check track conditions and put my races in. Most ADW's offer 9%-17% rebate on all wagers(each track differs, pays next day into acct). Break even for a year with 500k wagered, easy 60k year. Way less time consuming than poker cause you can put the wagers in and check em later.

Somedays I play up to 90 races between 6 tracks that I follow. On slow days, Sundays and Tuesdays, I may have only 2-3 races that I see.

Alotta people dog the greyhound grinders but it is easy money. Im lazy as fuck and live comfortably.

Good read! I actually have a similar story when I was 13 and went to a greyhound track for the only time in my life I was given the free pick by my dad for $2 and I picked the 45:1 shot in the first race that won. My dad lost his ass that day and made me purchase dinner later that evening but I got to keep the rest of it which for a young kid it was better then my allowance.

I've never been back for greyhounds ever since but I've been to the horse track numerous times when I was younger but not in over 15 years. The odds changing all the time after you lock in something good always pissed me off with horses so I don't do it much along with hearing some shady things about the industry in some of these smaller harness tracks.

I didn't really know the rebates were that good where you could beat the sites for that much.

I use Amwest Ent for most of my tracks. They offer me the best rates for greyhounds. I really prefer their wagering site and the customer service suckles my tit if any problem arises. They also offer phone wagering for the Force out jackpots (twin tri, tri supers). Somewhat comparable to a bad beat jackpot in poker. The pool grows and grows til hit or in most cases is capped and "forced out". Which allows, pardon me for using this term, a +++ev pool to go after. Used to be only offered on track.
