So, the last 4 years I have been on a personal heater. Everything that has happened in my life since 2012 has been damn near perfect. But it was not always that way for me, I had some dicey moments along the way, but one of these is completely fake. Now, if any of these moments had gone south for me, I might not even be here, so like I said they were dicey to say the least.
1) Circa 2005 I was a regular at a bar near my apartment I could walk to. I went there nearly every weekend for like a year and struck up a relationship with a waitress with several promiscuous looking tattoos. For about a month we had a strictly drunken sexual relationship, and she soon took off for Syracuse with like no warning. I later found out from one of her waitress colleagues she had herpes, and not only did I have unprotected sex with her, I also ate her out twice. I finally got a hold of her on her cell like a week later and she admitted she had herpes but promised she was not active when she fucked me. Talk about a long 60 days, I eventually got tested but it was a long spell for sure checking your instrument every day taking a piss, obviously negative
2) When I was 19 years old, a neighbor friend had a lake in his backyard. We built a ramp with a steep slope and the idea was to pedal as fast as you can down this hill, hit the ramp and fly into the air and let go of the bike and splash in the water. Several of us were home from college and having fun with it, but one guy got too crazy and fucked up his elbow. I was like I have had enough, and just quit heading down there to his house. About two weeks later the guy whose parents owned the house came out of the lake and was rushed to the hospital. Turns out there was a water parasite that got into his system and basically ruined his hearing for life and limited movement of his limbs. 5 years later he committed suicide. Point is, if the other guy had not fucked up his elbow I could have got the parasite too
3) I was in Shreveport LA playing poker in a casino, coming back from Austin TX on a halfway across the country drive to visit a friend. I was on a heater and ran up $200 to nearly $3000 at the Binion (I think, been 9 years). I went to the higher limits and promptly ran it down to $800 until I spiked a set up jacks. I went all in and the black guy turned over a 2/3 of clubs on the flop and spiked the flush on the river. I was busted and told him to fuck off and promptly was told to leave the casino by the pit boss. I was walking to my car to get my bag because I was too wasted to drive so I had to stay the night, I was confronted by black guy's posse and thought I was going to be tossed over the 5th floor parking balcony because things were getting out of hand. Security in the nick of time drove up and was able to take me to the hotel and I gave him $20 bucks to drive my car to valet so it could be parked elsewhere. I very well could have been killed that night if not for luck
4) Circa 2003 I was part of a softball league and we were in the playoffs, so it was competitive. Anyway, I was in centerfield given my range and a long fly ball went right back to the steel fence and I collided in it. A piece of the sharp fence carved into my leg, and I did not think anything about it. About three days later I had about a 90 second seizure at work and was rushed to the hospital. Turns out I had tetanus disease from that fucking fence and was laid up for about a week. A huge rash formed near my initial wound and eventually healed with no other side effects, but I missed a week of work and colleagues began looking at me weird due to the seizure
5) Circa 2004 I threw my laptop against my apartment wall after a horrible bad beat on PartyPoker. The trajectory got away from me and I hit a window pane. I was passed out on my couch and their was a bang on my door soon after I guess. It was two police officers investigating a disturbance. I tried to explain to them it was no big deal but they came in with their flashlights anyways. The lady who called the complaint in was complaining she could not get any sleep because I was playing music to 5am and walking around at all hours. Keep in mind she lived below me and this was right around the time I discovered online poker.
