Phillips was one of the best college running backs ever. Speed, strength and agility, dude had it all.
Damn shame he didn't have a lick of sense.

I am pretty sure this is a nice sensational conspiracy theory that will be debunked by the science, as semi believable as it sounds. Phillips is a complete nutcase and capable of anything at anytime, that has been established. I could care less how he "seemed" in the days leading up to his death, because he was prone to completely unpredictable violent outbursts in the past.
225lb (crazy) former NFL running backs are going to be pretty hard to kill, by making it look like a suicide no less. The last guy that he got into it with was the only one who ended up dead, not him. The idea that he was somehow put in that position by someone else is highly unlikely, if not impossible.
