We will see if the NFL is successful in LA after such a long hiatus.
I have a feeling that many LA residents are "over" the NFL, but maybe this will reignite interest.

what seems to be the problem out there?
You have great weather, and a lot of wealthy people...you would think that they would be sold out every game and that businesses/entertainment groups would buy up all the suites and everyone would be entertaining clients every week.
why cant they keep a football team? Its only 8-10 games/year. Plus, you would have a new venue for large scale concerts.
I'm in for season seats as soon as they go on sale. All my friends who live in the city are interested in doing the same.
the problem is/was the NFL wanting taxpayer subsidy to build a new stadium...the LA Coliseum wasn't up to NFL standards although the "current professional team" (the USC Trojans) are okay with it....the stadiums currently proposed are not located within LA City, but unincorporated cities adjacent...
the thinking is millionaire owners don't deserve public funds for a sports team---the kind of money the NFL wants is better spent on building a business/industrial park that would bring many better paying jobs to middle class people rather than a sports team...sports teams bring a few jobs for millionaire owners and jocks with pittance jobs for stadium ushers, food vendors, or cleaning crews. People here are too smart to buy the horseshit that the NFL brings jobs...so for all these years it's been, NFL welcome, but no taxpayer dollars
The Rams, Raiders left because they could not get LA to give them subsidies, and Houston took the planned expansion team by giving a the Texans a deal
LA has the Lakers & Clippers, Dodgers & Angels, USC & UCLA along with a load of recreational/entertainment alternatives ... the NFL will be just another option here
