Do any of you guys have pet insurance for your dog?
My dog is going through some surgery right now and im pretty shocked at what it cost.
From the random yahoo answers im reading, looks like its about 100 bucks a month to insure this little guy.

Waste of money bro. If the insurance companies didn't make money off you then there wouldn't be any insurance companies.

When it comes to pets, self insure. Or don't have pets.

Yeah, I felt the same way until I seen the estimate earlier this morning.
Im gonna call a few different places in the morning and see what it cost. If its 30 bucks or less it may be worth it.
If this dog lives till hes 12 years old @ 30 bucks a month it would be 4320, not counting deductibles of course.

A pistol or a rifle is better imo. A shotgun just seems fucked up. You going to bury the dog minus the head?

    Think the sg is overkill.

I have pet insurance 30 a month, got it cuz my pup likes eating all kinds of shit when we go walking and surgery can run 3k. One evening took the pup to see a patient of mine who was sad after losing her dog. On way into house pup grabbed something from the bushes I tried to get it but she swallowed it. Patient gave her a frisbee during visit. On way home pup started heaving, I grabbed the frisbee and held it under her gags so she wouldn't ralph all over my car again. She proceeded to vomits 3 smelly turds, ugh the stench. Rolled down my window and threw the frisbee into the wind. Gross.

Bro, you're not going to spend $4320 on a fucking pet in their lifespan on anything that will actually be covered by the insurance. That's the whole point. We had a dog that had chemo for a year among other things and it didn't come close to $4300, maybe half that. Dog got stung in his ear and his face blew up so we had to bring him to vet ER and it cost a few hundred for a shot of benedryl and other shit. You think pet insurance is covering that? I'm thinking if they are then your deductible will prob be almost as much as the visit.

    Pet insurance is a scam.

Depending on what is covered under the insurance. I just got hit with a 3k bill for him.
Would be getting pretty good value out of it right about now if this surgery was covered.
