The Twitter exchanges seem to confirm that.
lol at Dentale calling out McKeehen's wardrobe. dudes playing on a TV table at WSOP in a Muscle shirt. His wardrobe tweet was actually pretty funny though. He didn't get the action correct on the Iranian dudes betting action he called the floor on, but he's basically narrowing his range by limp calling with 22 UTG (a laughable -EV play), and complaining to floor trying to get the raise thrown out.
it was funny how JCarver explained the forward motion rule to Dentale.
I used to deal/run or play in $60 - $200 buyin tourneys in bars near New Orleans. You'd see the same players at these so most of the players knew each other. Many fit Dentale's attitude, which made it hard to retain some players, who simply felt intimidated by these guys. The conversations got pretty wild because people were usually drunk, and all knew each other.
one night two guys, (both electricians), one of whom owned an electrician company were making gay jokes to this Dentale look alike player, who happened to work for his company. He wasn't a jerk like Dentale, but not a guy you want to fuck with (he was bigger, and tougher than dentale). A guy nobody really liked because he was always starting shit, had to just shut the fuck up or apologize quickly, or he was definitely going to get his ass kicked. He thought it would be ok to join in on the jokes the other to were making.
Never felt in danger myself in these games, and played because it was profitable. No rake, and if you dealt, you got a discount, and if you ran the tourney, the winners tipped you. So it was basically a freeroll. Unless you just like to fight, just ignore these guys like Dentale, or make friendly conversation and your fine. They always find plenty of idiots at the table to pick fights with.
Beer and Poker's advice on playing with these types seems correct.
