Interesting Situation part 2

Sitting in the cutoff in seat 2 at a 9 handed ring table. Seat 3 straddles for 20 on the button. 5 limps in front of me and I look down at 8d-7d and limp with a single green $25 chip and the button checks. I put a $1 chip on the edge of my cards but not dead center on them. Dealer (who is a nice guy and generally good at his job) pulls in my $25 takes a single $5 red chip and half tosses and spins it back in the air towards my stack as the player in seat one is leaned over trying to get a word with the player in seat 9....

The chip comes down from head hight hits the table .2 inches in front of my cards digs/slides perfectly under them and jumps back up and flips over my cards knocking off my $1 card protector. 1-1,000,000 shot.

The dealer accidently exposed your cards, but if the floor is a tight-ass, you hand is essentially, as the floor can rule that you didn't sufficiently protect your cards.

So the floor was called by the dealer who was laughing about as much as I was. Like I said, dealer is a nice guy and probably one of the best in the house. The floor came over and said it was the first time he had every heard or seen something like this. One of the other players said to give me back the $20 and muck.... One other player said yeah that's fair...... And at that point I said fuck that, I'll play it face up. At that point the floor chimed in and said "yeah let's do that.... The money cant come out of the pot.

After a great deal of laughter it goes check to me, I bet $40...... button calls... Turn 8h..... Hand over, button had j-10 of clubs.
