I think Trump/Carson will be the ticket if Trump get GOP. Not sure who Carson would take. I like Cruz although it is getting painful listening to him since he talks like his preacher father. Not sure I'd be able to stomach 4-8 years of that. Rubio has no shot. Maybe in a term or two but not now. Hate Fiorina with all my heart.

What about that fat fuck Christie? He's only moderately loud & uncouth comparatively. Imagine.

Got a sandwich today with parsley on the side. Made me think of that useless garnish, TheEngineer.

Wonder which online sports betting & gaming candidate he is throwing his considerable influence behind?

I'm only one of these with all due respect. Not sure which one at this point though.

Kinda surprised the gout stricken fatties here aren't on the Christie bandwagon. He doesn't like stoners/slackers, but still..

From what little I've heard, Cruz would be my 1st choice, but now not paying too much attention, just watching polls.

Don't think Trump will come close to getting the nomination.

Looking very good for GOP to win White House. Things have changed a lot since spring, almost all good for GOP.

However Michelle Obama would be tough to beat.

Before I pass judgement and forever label you a complete tool in my mind, I'd like to hear your reasons for this statement.

If you don't mind, please elaborate. TIA.

Krypt, he's a legit doctor. A pioneering neurosurgeon, actually. But that doesn't mean he can't be complete idiot about other matters. Like doubting evolution as the origin of species. (Or didn't you realize that he is a Creationist fruitcake?)

Sadly none of the Republican candidates excite me at this point, though I really don't want Trump to get the nomination.

Jeb Bush: Normally I would support him, but I don't think he's electable. I believe the country has too much "Bush fatigue" at this point, and he is failing to even excite his own party at this point. Generally I like him politically, but I don't think he will win in the general election.

Ben Carson: Too religious, and not appealing enough to moderates. Would get crushed in general election. I think he has hit his ceiling regarding support, garnering the votes of the anti-Trump religious right, but won't get much beyond that.

Chris Christie: Hate him. That bridge scandal (where he ordered lane closures and caused HOURS of traffic jams just to punish a mayor he was angry at) pretty much tells you all you need to know about his character. Also is a phony Republican. Comes off as an east coast shadeball.

Ted Cruz: While I agree with a lot of his positions, he is too far right to win a general election. As already mentioned in this thread, something comes off kind of weird/creepy about the guy, too.

Carly Fiorina: I mostly like her, and she's really starting to gain traction. However, she had a bad record at HP, and that is going to dog her badly as the election moves forward. It's hard to elect an outsider businesswoman as President when her record as a businesswoman was very flawed!

Marco Rubio: Not a bad candidate, and will finally capture some of the important Hispanic vote for the GOP, especially in Florida. Still too far right for the general public, but he might be able to overcome that. I probably like either him or Fiorina best at this point. Youth may hurt him in the election (he's less than a year older than me!)

Mike Huckabee: No chance. Not even a point to discuss him.
