The ump today was horrible and inconsistent. The exact same pitch location was called a ball or strike depending on the inning.

Definitely not an excuse as it went both ways but it was painful to watch at times. Jays had 2-3 long balls that were just foul/just short to win.

They will take game 3 for sure, but unfortunately I think it's over

So the Jays had a pitcher going who was almost 43 in the 14th (LaTroy Hawkins, born in the same year as me), and of course he gave up the winning 2 runs to Texas.

I don't care if he had good numbers this year. Dude is almost 43, and his career numbers are 4.31/1.406.

I realize it was late in the game, though, so there probably wasn't much choice.

All this talk about how the Jays were going to smack everyone down and win the World Series... now they basically need a miracle to advance to the ALCS.

I drifted away from baseball once the Cubs got swept by the Dodgers in 2008 but have been firmly reinvested since the wild card game. The last two series I went out of my way to watch were Yankees-Phillies in 2009 and last year's Royals-Giants.

Went to a handful of Rockies games the last couple of years when visiting Denver but each of those games blew.
