I recently watched The Imitation Game.

A WWII setting basically about cracking the infamous Enigma machine.

I love WWII history so this was right up my alley.

Basically a gay genius, against all odds and recommendations, works to crack the impossible code by literally building the first "computer". This guy, more or less, literally won WWII for the Allies.

    Black Mirror, british sci-fi/futuristic/twilight-zoney series.

Watched season 1 (3 episodes) and into S02 now. Interesting stuff.

Each episode stands alone. Not a continuing story.

I forgot about this one, that episode about everyone becoming game show contestants was mind blowing. Ill try Season 2.

Different genre, but I enjoyed Luther recently. British rogue cop show.

Fair play to the romans, because obviously the dumbass Libyans/Arabs didn't have the capacity for that class of architecture.

Not sure if this show is available everywhere, but the British-produced series "River" (not the movie of the same name) was amazing. Fantasticly gripping storyline and acting.

Heres another: The Grinder, starring Rob Lowe and Fred Savage.

22 half hour episodes, I've seen half and really like this show.

Two British series I would highly recommend.

The Fall: Serial killer theme but it's not a mystery based 'who done it' kinda thing. We get to know who the killer is from the off.

Gillian Anderson plays the leading female role of an English cop.

Line of Duty is also absolutely superb. Police corruption based with lots of welcome twists.

Shame that. Can somebody help the man out? Surely there are sites out there that offer these shows.

Enough of this faggot British shit and back to the ol US of A, where Comcast is now carrying Netflix so you can just pull it right up on any TV now. Now this is something actually worth talking about. I hope to God you can DVR it too, but I doubt it.

Series 'The Crown' just released on Netflix with a £100m budget.

Will need some solid approval ratings before I commit to a lol drama about the fucking Queen.

Ive heard good things about The Crown but Im also kinda not in a rush to check it out because if youve got a budget like that, you surely have a few quid to toss at some brokedick reviewer blogs.

Always remember the Beeb pimping that out between programmes but never took an interest and nobody ever recommended it to me.

Quick search for reviews and sounds decent.

    Recommendation accepted.

Line of Duty or The Fall?

Either way they both stay good.

Would say LOD just edges The Fall in my own personal preference stakes tho.
