Didn't even recognize Harvey Keitel at age 80.
Steve Van Zandt as Jerry Vale was an interesting choice.
I didn't get all the hype. I was so stoked when this was announced, like 2 or 3 years ago, and I just don't feel like it lived up to its expectations.
I thought Joe Pesci and Al Pacino were great, DeNiro phoned it in though, and that fight scene in the deli was just cringe.
The entire final 30 minutes were unnecessary, and could have wrapped up in about 5.
Overall, did love the cast, and it was a nice swan song for all these actors to go out on, but in all honesty, I feel like this was a C+/B- at best. Enjoyable, but easily a distant 5th to Goodfellas, Casino, Mean Streets, and even The Departed.
That being said, I've already watched it 3 times now.
Shout outs to my boy Herc as Fat Tony Salerno. Straight unrecognizable.
