    FEAR OF THE WALKING MEH

Ive seen worse but I really, really, really hate the whole "IVE NEVER BEEN IN A SHOOTING DEN BEFORE BUT I BET I KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE" vibe, with the tattered veiling over the windows and the lots and lots and lots of cool shit that no one has thought to pawn for drugs yet LOOKING AT YOU MULTIPLE PIANOS AND CHURCH PEWS AND RELIGIOUS ICONS AND StAINED GLASS.

    Its seriously such a thing.

Its a good back story tho and it needed to be told.

    meh is pretty accurate

watching morgan have his zombie wife in his sites in the first episode of TWD really set the hook

it set the bar and you knew that show was more than gore and zombies

fear of the walking dead really had none of that. hopefully it's gets better but pretty underwhelming so far, imo

the er doctor, was that somehow the same doc that was at the hopsital with beth?

but, yeah, this might not make a second season if it doesn't deliver

Didn't read this thread and I'm drunk again but...

Sonatine chimps out at how bad the show is: Avoid at all costs... But if forced into the presence of those you hate with IQ of 408 or better watch and hail praises. Even cheer during violent scenes.

Sonatine hates: Outstanding acting or production but not both.

Sonatine doesn't like = Pretty damn solid

Sonatine is Indifferent Towards = Edge of your fucking seat. Taking naps to get to next week quicker.

Sonatine Sorta Likes = Golden Globe

Sonatine Loves = Jesus and God Production with Virgin Mary as Leading Lady and Natas as villian.

Jesus there is a LOT of bitching out there about this show and the common thread is "wahhhhh this isnt the same fucking show as TWD".

What the fuck...? You want to watch TWD? Watch TWD. This is an entirely different show and its doing something reasonably interesting at its own pace.

TWD slappies are about the worst of all the TV slappies. Maybe Lost is its equal.

the only real complaint i have is that the junkie son is super duper obviously going to play the role of the 'spunky kid who cant keep his mouth shut around authority' and im already sick of his bullshit.

Bloodline is a slow, dense, joyless drama. Which doesn't mean it sucks. I just need to be in the exact right mood to enjoy it, as it has not one laugh in the entire first season.

Is it at least violent? The marketing makes it look like a dour, self indulgent redux of Dallas.

Nope, you nailed hit. It's well acted, but it is a dour, plodding drama.

Bloodlines is good but Ben Mendelsohn is flawless and steals the show in an ensemble cast full of big talent.

I honestly think it's one of the best performances I've ever seen.
