Amaya (Pokerstars) buys Victiv, will relauch as "StarsDraft" in the US

Big news came in today for US poker players and sports enthusiasts. Amaya, the parent company of PokerStars, has purchased the daily fantasy sports site Victiv and will be relaunching as StarsDraft.

While there still won't be poker available for US players, you will once again be able to play real money contests through the same company that brings you PokerStars and Full Tilt.

Fantasy sports contests will be available for money in most US states during this year's NFL season. While we don't know exactly what will be on offer yet, we know PokerStars likes to think big and assume we'll be seeing a lot of the same from StarsDraft. We expect millions of dollars in prize money to be up for grabs.

I cant stand the constant DFS marketing, but this news is worth it since its kinda subtrolling Preet and the DOJ

with it being Amaya all bets are off, but im wondering if they are going to try to compete with draftkings and fanduel on rake...

guessing no since it is Amaya, but if it was run as stars used to be I think that they would have...

    will be interesting for sure...
