    Delores, they have google.

This site is for pictures of kids, wrestling with oiled up bodies, MMA with almost naked male bodies, black cock, white cock, reviewing art in all its forms, male groomimg, and for nit picking the looks of hot chicks.

If you "didn't receive" the notice, they can't prove otherwise, nor will they pursue it.

Them: we would like you to be on the jury

    Mulva: What did summon do?

Then: We can't tell you that

Mulva: I got the piece of paper here that says summon did.

Them: Sir, you have been SUMMONED to jury duty?

Mulva: That's what I said. Was it rape or murder or anything bloody? Ive always liked "who done its," but "Summon Did It's sound like even more fun! When should I get to the city? I can't wait to go to the city!

    Them: click...

    yeah,...right..

i did something similar. not the same, but close. i was contesting an emission ticket. thing is i moved and my paperwork for court went to my old address and i never received them.

this messed me up pretty good on many levels. they suspended my licence and had it been one month later after i found out what had happened, i would have had to take the exam and driving test again because so much time had passed when they suspended it. all this crap for a fucking emissions violation.

fucking bs..so when people look up my driving record they saw drivers licence suspended. not drivers licenced suspended because of bs.

I think around 70% of people in urban areas no-show for regular duty, and nothing ever happens. Federal, I imagine, is similar.

If you want to not risk it, I suppose using the classic excuses will at least get it delayed for a year or more......like saying you don't have adequate transportation to drive that far or that you can't afford to miss work yadda yadda

    Huge difference.

DMV stuff is always your responsibility. Most of the time, you are expected to either know the deadline dates, or you signed a ticket or something else indicating that you were aware of the violation.

Go ahead and google jury duty summors ignore and, aside from the scare-tactic articles, you will see that they never prosecute these when you just claim you don't receive them.

BTW if I got a summons, I would actually go. I would find it kinda interesting, but that's because I don't have a 9-5 job and am not forced to take unpaid time off work.

Not so in the Southern District of Georgia. The judge will from the bench issue an arrest warrant and have a marshal serve it on you either then or later depending on how busy they are. Federal court is much different than state. Just go down there and take it for what it is; which will likely be some sort of drug conspiracy case.

In the interest in keeping this thread poster from potentially developing a psychopathic hatred of Druff for costing him jail time and/or a hefty fine, check out these passages from folks who actually have legal degrees.

One person not likely to ignore another jury summons is Jermaine Dupri, CEO of So So Def Recordings. Dupri recently served a three-day jail sentence in Fayetteville, Georgia for missing jury duty in March 1999. With as much as 80 percent of the population shirking jury duty in some counties, more courts are starting to crack down.

In 2003, Massachusetts fined nearly 48,000 people $2000 each for missing jury duty, under new laws that criminalize repeat offenders. Los Angeles County has fined residents who failed to serve jury duty a total of over $940,000. New York County fined 1,443 jury dodgers in Manhattan $250 each.

Consequences of Ignoring a Jury Summons

Ignore a jury summons in Phoenix, Arizona, and a sheriff's deputy just might show up at your door. In many jurisdictions, bench warrants are issued for those failing to appear, which could lead to arrests during routine traffic stops.
    https://www.legalzoom.com/articles/j...r-jury-summons

Why bring this up? Because a jury summons is NOT like being served papers in a civil suit. When a jury summons is mailed to your home address, the government assumes you received it unless proven otherwise (such as being returned undeliverable). Which is why some jurisdictions post FAQ's like this one by Orange Count, California, to help citizens understand the consequences of failing to respond to a mailed jury summons

Q: What will happen if I do not respond to a jury summons?
A: You may be found in contempt of court, punishable by fine and/or incarceration pursuant to
California Code of Civil Procedure Section 209.
    http://www.occourts.org/media/pdf/Jury-FAQs.pdf

Meaning, unless *you* can prove that the summons was never delivered to your home, or you weren't able to read your mail because you were fighting overseas in the military (or some such thing), you probably will face the wrath of a judge who hates jury duty skip artists. And the onus of proof will be on *you* to convince the judge that he/she didn't just toss the summons in the trash. (Just sayin')

Assuming you respond to the summons and show up at court, consider the advise presented in this article on how to get dismissed from jury duty when the court and lawyers pick jurors:

    http://www.businessinsider.com/how-t...ry-duty-2013-2

Personally, I was dismissed from jury duty in a civil case because (1) I asked a lot of questions for clarification during the jury selection process, then (2) when interviewed at the bench by the judge and opposing lawyers, I volunteered that I think there is a flaw in the standard interpretation of the "preponderance of the evidence" rule tends to bias jury decisions in favor of the plaintiff. And before I could explain why, I was interrupted and sent to join the other jury candidates to await finding out whether I would be seated on the jury. Which I wasn't.

And my guess is that the lawyers don't like jurors with strong opinions about the law that are different from the conventional legal standards.

Are judges really going to come at people though? Like ever? With a steady stream of mutants that live for such a chance I have a hard time believing a judge doesn't have something better to do.

Probably depends on how hungry the jurisdiction is for fine money, and/or whether the judge has a bug up his/her ass that day. So, you gotta ask yourself: How lucky do you feel?

this is messed up. i hope this is like normal jury duty at your local court house where you go, express disdain in the voir dire and get to leave.

the federal grand jury is a wheel and controls your life for a minimum of 18>24months while you listen to as many cases they can throw at you. i might have to go to court 2/3 days a week for 2 years

Hopefully it's 7 women and 5 men on jury and they sequester you with one that isn't too fat.

pretty sure it's 16 people w/ 7 alternates that carries an 18-24 month term for each juror. this is truly the hamster wheel from hell
