I updated, seems ok so far
Now how do I get rid of this white colored border on the top of every page and every poker table I have open. My eyes are bleeding

Well, just realized one early downfall. Driver updates! Linksys does not yet support Windows 10, so if you are using any sort of USB adapter, don't download Windows 10. I am now stuck using my shitty stock wireless card that is fucking terrible, and have no idea when I'll be able to use the Linksys AE2500 I usually run through.
It's refreshing to not be using Windows 8 / 8.1
I've had no problems with it yet either. Digging it so far but I will say I don't think the "siri" aspect of it will benefit me much.
Kind of like they are late to the game with something everyone was already over with on the 4s

youll be interested to know that windows has quite courteously turned your computer into a fucking peer to peer software distribution node.
what this means is, anyone who needs software updates? your computer is there for them. and so is your network.
so as long as you have that enabled, you can expect to be pushing about 400kb upstream to total random herberts.
do this and your bandwith will drop to about 20kbs:
Go to Settings in the Start menu
Search for Update & Security
Under Windows Update, open Advanced Options
Under Choose How Updates are Installed, select Choose how updates are delivered
Disable the toggle under Updated from More than One Place

This debacle was all over my newsfeeds, I actually came here to post it but tine beat me to it. I would suspect that the first patch will be to auto default to 'off' for this. They are gonna get their phones blown up by pissed off people for the next few weeks over this one.
i dont really see a lot of pragmatic potential for abuse.
p2p protocols checksum contents pretty thoroughly on both sides of the transaction so its not like you can tamper with a package and send it.
whats more, youre probably never providing the total package in question to someone, youre simply contributing bits along with half a dozen other herbs.
that said, if M$ do a shite implementation, all bets are off of course.. and personally i wouldnt fuck with it out the gate because ANY new network protocol from M$ has an implicit risk factor associated with it that i cannot tolerate, for fear my vast archives of gay pony fan fiction masterpieces be leaked to the internet before i have the chance to assault shithreads with them.

The kid at the Apple Genius Bar told me the same thing. We both laughed.
Windows 8 isn't terrible, it's just they added very little to Windows 7 except things that people didn't want - like the tiles start menu and the shitty charms bar.
If you turn that stuff off, and add in a classic start menu, Windows 8 is pretty good. In windows 10 they have fixed the stuff they broke in Windows 8 - so in that sense it is about the same as Windows 7.
That's progress for you.

3rd party app that provides a single, central GUI from which to disable all of Windows 10 NSA friendly bullshit.
I have done _zero_ independent research into this but the cool kids are saying its benign and performs as advertised. Point being, use at your own risk.

WINDOWS 10 has been GOD
I dont even know what to say here...
SO you went ahead and disabled all the spy/privacy violation bullshit?
Including/especially Cortana/Searching the Web from the Start Menu?
Bully for you.
Heres the thing tho.
Every time you start typing in the Start menu, Cortana (remember that this is the fucking 'voice assistant' for the OS) will reach out to www.bing.com and request a file using your unique PC ID in the request. Yes, even tho you specifically disabled it.
Jesus christ, Windows....
