Full Tilt Removes Heads Up Cash Games

In addition to these changes, we’ve decided to remove Heads Up tables from our ring game offering. We’re doing this for two important reasons; firstly, Heads Up games were being adversely impacted by the minority of experienced players who targeted ‘weaker’ opponents rather than take on all challengers, and secondly, new players who tried out the Heads Up games found it intimidating and confusing (asking themselves “why are all these guys not playing each other?”). Unfortunately, these table selection changes didn’t fix this problem so in Heads Up we had no choice but to remove them altogether, as we know the more new players that play it, the less likely they are to return and keep playing. In short, Heads Up ring games just didn’t form part of a healthy poker ecosystem, which made our decision to remove them easier.

We are also removing nosebleed stakes, Stud, Draw and Mixed Game ring game tables. The new structure will present a clean offering for all players and we consider these ring game changes to be key to Full Tilt’s ongoing commitment to provide a level playing field and attracting and retaining more casual poker players.

FTP is running a business and the 100+ sharks waiting HU games are in direct competition with FTP casino games for the fish who are chasing money back. Its smart business.

Trying to protect the eco structure pretty lame though, while they now offer table games and sports betting. Not sure they allow table games like blackjack though . Pretty hypocritical all the same.

Just saw this on the pokernews twitter. Is this somehow US related, to like get the DOJ to like them better somehow? I mean on the face of it, it does help with collusion. Except maybe at the highest stake levels, where there will only be a few people who ever ante up there.

This is Bravo Sierra. Obviously I don't care too much since I can't play on FTP but back before black Friday I had a few ATMs that i would always sit with at $3/$6 Limit HU.

I think this is a good thing..

I've read plenty of articles claiming that the pre bf leftovers who feel entitled to have there rent paid are the ones hurting online sites..

I've seen it with my cousin, they buy playchips regularly but when they signed up to acr they only deposited once..

I had a debate with a pro on another forum and he suggested to up my game in MTT,s. He happens to be a winning mtt player..

When I responded that by his logic all mtts should be winner take all and if he doesn't like it just "up YOUR game" and would that increase rec/reg traffic or decrease it? Lol..

The bum hunters and nits just "pretend" not to get it..

The full tilt article is correct. Why don't they play each other. They won't . there trash lowlifes and money doesn't buy class..

If I play my 8 year old nieces and take there money, does that make me a pro.

If I walk around casinos and pick out tourists that know very little about the game, does that make me a pro?

No... It makes me a schiester!!!!
