Finding casino slots pay scales for video poker

Todd or Drexel or anyone else... how can i find out a casino's video poker payscale without having to go their and check in person. As a note this casino (borgata in AC) does not list the payscales on their site... although if yhey do and I just missed it I'd really appreciate the help. Also, same goes for harrahs/czr/ballys in AC if that info is available. If Todd or Drex helps me with this info I'll donate $10 to the freeroll if another member does they can choose to take the money or donate, just PM me.

    http://www.vpfree2.com/casinos/by-region/east.html

vpFree2.com has data for VP at casinos from all around the country...locations of machines within each casino, pay tables, expected payback, playing limits, optimal strategy...

it also may have information about players clubs that will add to your return--I don't know much about that aspect of play--I've used/played video poker with my wife in order to replace her playing Wheel of Fortune---we lose a lot less money/play longer and sometimes quit winners with video poker

    ^^^^ Good advice above.

I will say that vpfree2, while the best resource, is user-updated, so occasionally it's behind. But usually it's pretty accurate.

Also, for whatever reason, they do NOT factor "bonus pays" into the house edge posted, so you need to watch carefully for that.

For example, Double Super Times Pay 8-5 Bonus Poker has a 99.67% return (very good), but it is listed as 99.17% on vpfree2 -- the same as regular 8-5 Bonus Poker. They will denote that it's Double Super Times Pay, but won't adjust the return.

kind offer, but thank you no...instead, please give someone else help when they need it, that will be thank you enough for me

here is why I say that...in my life a lot of people have taught skills to me, shared information, or otherwise helped me--I can never thank them enough...really no one can ever directly thank anyone enough for help given: but what I can do is give other help as I was given...and by doing that, I thank those that taught, helped, shared with me...so please do that (and if your really motivated, share the idea of how to give thanks)

The VPFree website has been an excellent resource for many years for semi-serious players, but keep in mind that all reports are done voluntarily and the very best plays are often not shown (for obvious reasons).

Here's an additional reference if you want to translate pay tables down to exact percentages:

VIDEO POKER HELP You can look up almost any pay table here and find the exact percentage return.

Just knowing the percentages and pay tables is only half the battle, though. You need to actually make the correct card hold decisions for each game and pay table. All strategies have to be customized.

How to do it? My favorite old program is Tomski's Video Poker Strategy Master:

    TOMSKI VIDEO POKER STRAT

The software costs $30 and it's old and rough, but it's an amazing tool and well worth it for making up strategy charts on the fly for most any basic VP game to maximize the percentage return.

Bob Dancer might also have some similar software that's more modern, so you might want to check out his stuff as well.

One final note: Keep in mind that exotic games like Ultimate X, Multi-Strike, Quick Quads, etc. all add complexity to the optimal strategy for each underlying game. Single play 9/6/5 Double Bonus (yuck!) will have a different strategy than 9/6/5 Double Bonus on an Ultimate-X machine (a bit better). TomSki's software won't be able to help with this sort of stuff; it only covers the basics.

Druff. What would be your top five mistakes intermediate Jacks or better video poker players make? (Not talking about machine selection.)

    Bonus for deuces wild machines.
