    Panera Bread

Just had lunch there and I feel sick already. Had the "turkey" avacado "melt"; what an absolute joke of an institution. I figured, "how bad can this place be? It's everywhere", this was my first and last time ever going. The food has absolutely no texture and is tasteless. This is probably what they served to the nazi army in ww2. What the F, MCDONALDS probably serves higher quality food than this shitehole. Kindly shove your free wifi up your collective asses.

Panera is awful. I'd rather eat a gas station sandwich or a something from the 7-11 Mexican menu.

i dont think theres really any reason to drag the 7-11 mexican menu into this sordid affair

Last year I got food poisoning from Panera Bread. I never puked so much in my life. Hurling up a bottle of cheap tequila is pleasant by comparison. These were stomach-twisting bouts of agony. I was bedridden for days.

    Never again.

Just had it for lunch today. Tomato soup and grilled cheese. So far so good.

I've had it less than 5x.

I eat there at least once a week and have never gotten sick or had a bad meal there. You pick two and rapid pick up are god.

apparently this shithole is struggling badly due to covid, as their sales plunge 50% nationwide. Its gotten so bad that they’re now selling groceries out of their locations.

Ate there for a little while about 5 years ago. Still get e-mail from them.

The local franchise owner is a major cheapskate. Didn't have any big customer service incidents there, but I could tell the place didn't exactly seem customer friendly.

They also were slow making the sandwiches and copped an attitude when they made (frequent) mistakes. Lettuce and tomatoes frequently looked terrible, as though they were not replaced daily.

I finally said fuck it and stopped going.

I ate in Panera a grand total of one time. I got tomato basil soup and a turkey sandwich. I specifically ordered my sandwich with no raw onions and it came with raw onions on it. I went to the counter to return it, and I heard the comment "why does he simply pick them off". I took one spoonful of the soup and it was luke warm at best. I simply walked out, with never getting my revised sandwich. I am shocked how that chain is still in business. People rag on McDonalds but I have never been burned there.

I guess tomatoes on the side were out of the question?

    Panera usually isn't that bad.

But only their sandwiches, salads and bread are fresh.

All soups and mac & cheese are made elsewhere and frozen. Then it's reheated and they pretend it's fresh.
