Poll: Which event will Druff have his best placing in?

The following list is based on http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...he-WSOP-thread
and only includes events where Druff is guarenteeing to play Day One [such as Event 13, but not Event 14]

Best placing means highest finishing spot [1st, 7th, 23rd, whatever] rather than most money won.

Names of voters are hidden, poll closes 2 days before Druff's 1st event, and you may only vote once.

Druff cashed Event 53: $1500 No Limit Holdem with 105th for $4445.

Druff's best finish so far has been Event 20: $5000 Limit Holdem with a 19th place bubble.

    Event 20: $5000 Limit Holdem.
    PFA official thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...0-Limit-Holdem

    Unofficial thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...ld-em-event-20

    166 starters. 18 paid, 1st collects $206k, 2nd 127k, 18th collects $11k.

Druff ended Day 1 with 38 900 chips which put him 13th with 109 left.
[Due to incompetent WSOP chip reporting, it initially appeared Druff was 6th]

As a bonus, Druff starts Day 2 with Phil Tom, father of Scot Tom of the AP ultra fail scandal.

Day 2: Druff ends up 19th to bubble the event.

Both Druff and Drexel played this event and started at different tables. Both got headsup but lost.

Druff's official placing was not announced but it would have been mid 80s at best.

    Event #35 June 18 $2500 Mixed Holdem

    Official PFA twitter thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...0-Mixed-Holdem

    Unofficial Rail thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...35-Rail-Thread

As noted a number of PFA members have shares in Druff in this event.

Day 1 saw 393 starters (according to wwww.wsop.com) and the prize money is $210k for 1st, 129k for 2nd, and bottoms out at 37-45 getting $4229.

Druff doubled up reasonably early but had very mixed results during the day, peaking at just below 40k chips.

Druff ended day 1 with 16300 chips placing him 71st out of 88.

As per the twitter thread, Druff had QQ on the 2nd hand of Day 2, all in pre vs AK.
Ace on the flop and thats that.
    Druff out approximately 88th.

Chinamaniac also played this event and had sold shares on PFA for this event.

    The event had 302 starters.

Druff Event #44 June 24 $1000 NL Holdem

    Official PFA twitter thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...1000-NL-Holdem

Due to Druff going out on Day One of the previous event, he signed up for this event.

Druff flopped a set in the 2nd hour, shipped it against 2 players who flopped the nut straight and one munchkin who flopped middle straight. Turn gave everyone but Druff a better straight and river bricked to cripple Druff.

    Final place not recorded.

As has been the theme this year for Druff, good starts, absolutely cold wave of cards, get stuck, have a sweet rally, get frozen and struggle back.

Druff unfortunately busted 20 minutes before the end of Day One.

Event #49 June 27 $1500 Ante Only NL Holdem

    Official PFA twitter thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...Only-NL-Holdem

As Druff went out on day 1 of the $3000 limit event, he decided to play the $1500 Ante Only NLH.

Despite initially finding it a bit silly, at the end he said he's definaterly consider it for next year.

Druff went out in the 5th hour of the event, roughly 300s out of a starting field of 939.

    Druff Cashes WSOP2012!

Druff also hit a draw which helped a lot.

With 3166 starters, Druff went out 105th for $4445.

Let's hope this is the run-up he needs for Main Event Glory!

    Thanks, zealand.

Event #53 was a little disappointing, but at least I got the no-cash monkey off my back.

Funny how that one wasn't on your list to vote on!

No worries, I tried to pick events you had done well in previously, and a nice range of buyins.
Kind of surprised no one picked "other". Just glad it didnt turn out to be some sort of PFA curse.

Druff played the Event "Bracelet Bounty" July 6 $560 NL Holdem.

    Official PFA twitter feed http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...-560-NL-Holdem

Druff's views on the event are here: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...s-full-of-fail

This event was not a bracelet event, and sounds like first time run at WSOP.
The concept was that if anyone knocked out a WSOP Bracelet winner, they would collect $500 which adds some value.
Oddly it was listed as a 1 day event, and Druff figured players would play looser against him to try and clip the bounty.

Final placing not recorded (nor number of entrants at this stage).

Druff did state he enjoyed the novelty of the "Ante-up" event he played earlier this WSOP, unclear if he will play this event next year if its offered.

Event #61 July 7 $10000 NL Holdem Main Event

    Official PFA twitter thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...dem-Main-Event
    Official PFA rail thread: http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...cussion-thread

To get the "best placing" Druff would need a final 2 table appearance. For best cashing, Druff just needs a min cash, and for best ROI Druff needs roughly $32k which is 300th or better.

Druff started on Day 1b and was struck by Harrahs "We promise we'll do worse next year" shenanigans.
Fortunately it only cost him 150 chips off his 30k start stack, and after a long day of battling Druff ended up with a respectable 105k.

Druff returns on Day 2a (Tuesday July 10th)

Druff's Day 2 was ultimately disappointing for him, with him missing 3 big draws and ending up with a below average stack.

Day 3 brough Black aces for Druff which broke him in a hand that he regrets how he played it.
